When Tarquinus touched teh soul of the emperor and struck at the daemon, that made me want to scream FOR THE EMPEROR.
You scared me I thought we missed our vid for the week and was so sad then bam my fav story line you have dropped thank you so much 💕 u this story gets my mind and heart pumping for this bloody universe thank you much for a story few masters of this craft could make with a voice of a god to boot.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I love it when a story triggers a heightened emotional response, bordering on traumatic...lol. Impossible to brush off and has me doing emotional cross fit.

And yes. That is my goal. To make people rekax into emotions it’s not always safe for us chaps to indulge. I thought it a catharsis service. It’s why I get accused of being a weakling a lot over the humanity if my characters. I’m not trained, so just do my best. All I can do while learning my craft. :)
There are very few ongoing stories I anticipate more than this, and I don't just mean from what you have created.
This is, with no caveats, one of my top 2 favorite tales.
Now that I have gotten the justly deserved praise out of the way I shall enjoy this newest addition.

I absolutely love all of your branching storylines, and the Tarquinius story is definitely amongst the best of them.
I love how it portrays the Inquisition not as the simple minded and idiotic way as it may be perceived in the memes, but as a deeply flawed yet necessary organization, with varying point of view.

Making extreme factions like the Inquisition and the forces of Chaos a little less overzealous and a little more relatable is, to me, an upgrade. We all enjoy the over-the-top grimdarkness of it all, but Baldermort gives his characters something to hope for. Real friendships, real passions, real dreams of a better world. Typical 40K characters have very little to lose, but with things that truly matter on the line, the stakes become higher and more relatable to the reader.
Short version: Black Library could take a few cues from our beloved servo-boi, he’s a very strong writer!
It's bloody rare I say this about a video on CZcams, but... I didn't want this to end. Absolutely magnificent.

Liking and commenting before I’ve even watched it, because Baldermorts track record (especially with Thaddeus, and most especially with this most recent story arc) is perfect, and this needs to be promoted. I’ll be starting dinner in an hour, and that’s when I’ll listen - hopefully this isn’t another emotional wrecking ball - while those are the best stories they’re less so as dinner prep accompaniment.
This series has had a Gaunts ghost feel to it. The way the characters feel real and makes their story resonate within the listener. Your talent is amazing. I am not sure why you are not writing for GW at this point. I love Kronan. That is right proper Ork story telling and you video on the Silent King was a masterpiece.
I have been following you for so long, I can remember how over now years, you have made media that has literally, lifted me out of black moments and inspired me at times.

Shame on you Baldermort for forcing us to wait for the next installment. Absolutely one of the best narrative orations I have listened to in a long time. Refreshing to hear something that isn't watered down.
To you sir and only you, do I bow my head in utter awe at your ability to reel me in and make me forget the life I lead everyday with just the power of your voice.
Even when you "lean on existing wisdom", the manner in which you voice the words is an art unto itself, the accent, intonation, the timbre even the pace and volume of your speech are faultless. You take me to wherever in the setting and it is though I am really there, seeing what you see in your mind.
But when the tale is one of your own crafting I feel not as though I am a mere silent witness but as if "I am the protagonist" and you are telling my story, my legend to generations hence.
Baldermort, you and creators like you are the reason we all love this setting, but most importantly whether or not GW ever take you on as an official creator, in my opinion you are as good as any they use to enthrall and entertain us.

Don’t know why but this made me feel an old peace during the entire listen, something I can’t quite place but which makes me feel content rather than excited as a story often would.
Perhaps it is the melding of worlds so often present in Warhammer fantasy, simple.
