It’s crazy how far he’s come from having a total breakdown and walking away from baseball to becoming the amazing pitcher he always was. So happy Greinke was able to come back mentally strong
Miss his days as a Dback. Always enjoyed watching him work and his cerebral approach to pitching. One of the most interesting players in the game imo. No bum in the batter's box either!
It makes me happy somehow that he is going back to where it all started
I wish he signed 1 year with the dodgers then went back to the royals, I would have loved 1 year of greinkie before he retires.
@@nathanbarnes9373 Real late to this video, but it's one of the great things going on right now. Kinda feel like we're dangling by a straw right now whether we're gonna be relevant or fall back into ol' KC ways, and poor Greinke still never gets any damn run support from us, but I tune into every game he pitches. It's so much fun seeing him as a Royal again. A good chunk of some of my favorite memories with the Royals were watching Greinke. (Obviously the '14 run and '15 win has to be tops, but man for a while Greinke really was the guy that kept that passion a live for some of us fans through the dark days. Haha)
@@tyrionstrongjaw7729 oh I'm exactly the same i remember when I was 8 during the summer of 2009 I used to get nosebleed seats with my dad to watch greinke pitch. I doubt we will be good for a long long time unfortunately but as long as they are in kc I will love them all the same
@@nathanbarnes9373 I think there's a real chance you're seeing the last productive season outta Greinke. I mean he's already defied odds, but I don't think a reasonable fan expects him back next year and productive. But hell it's Greinke so who knows. Yeah dude, hanging up Ks or making sure to get a scorebook for Greinke days was so much damn fun. '09 was special. Showing up early with a few friends, grabbing those dri-duck seats for like 5-7 bucks and watching him absolutely shove.
Greinke is a treat and a half.
I'm sad he's leaving my Astros since I love his approach to pitching but I'm happy he's going back to where he started.
Zach was my favorite player for the Astros while he was on the team

1) Lynn Nolan Ryan (I live in his Hometown and met him and he's truly a great person and very nice and not a bit flashy
2) Zack Greinke because he's in a time frame all alone. I have things in common like social anxiety and lone wolf syndrome.
3) Mitch Wild Thing Williams just because he had a windup like no one else and then he gave up the series winning homerun to the Bluejays. Sad day
My fave is Pedro Baez. I could take a dump or walk the dog in between his pitches and not miss anything
