Description of Ford Mustang "The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by the Ford Motor Company from April 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators. It was initially introduced as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale the following year. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment."

i have a 1968 F100 that grandpa bought 1967. My dad bought from him in 1972. I took over in 1988 when I restored it. I rebuilt the engine again in 2000. It still runs great. May not look as shinny anymore. It earned the scratches taking us places you could never take a shinny truck. The scenery in those places breath taking

I bought a used 71 Sport Custom in 77 when I was 20 years old for $2400, in like new condition, drove it for years. It was a much better world than today. Btw, in case anyone's wondering about Ford's claim of being the lowest price truck with independent suspension, is because Dodge still used a straight axle until 72. A little trivia.

I understand brand loyalty and all that but I am convinced that Ford got it right with the F series. I own a 1987 F 150 XLT Lariat 4×4 with a factory ordered 351 Cleveland H O 4bbl C 6 tranny still using the mechanical fuel pump and the 8 ft bed. This truck has 228,000 miles on it works hard almost every day, we live off grid in the high desert of Eastern Arizona 7500 feet above sea level only have dirt roads and they are shady at best and the only things that have been replaced are the water pump carburetor and brakes + tires. We call the truck Dixie and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Its got dents from being rammed by cattle and undercoating made of mud but it is the hardest working most dependable truck out here. Snow last winter was door deep and this truck sits high up I locked the hubs put her in 4 low and stood on that Cleveland out we came. The 21 mile ride to town was made because my neighbors were stuck and couldn't get out. Lol. Yup I will keep Dixie until one of us dies, whichever comes first.

I bought a 1984 F150 XLT in 1991 with a ton load of miles on the clock. And now its 2023. I still drive it today, but now has 3 or 4 ton loads of miles. Its heavy on gas but cheap to keep and easy to fix.

If Ford re-made these trucks with the option for people to sign a waiver saying “yeah I know it’s not as safe as a modern car - I still want it” they’d make a killing. Especially if they were at 1970’s prices haha.

Reminds me of my '72 F-100 Explorer pick-up l got from my dad when I was 16, it was perfect, wide tires, chrome reverse wheels, beautiful condition, the coolest pick- up at my high school... they say wisdom comes with age, that is so true, I sold it way too soon, to get a friggin Chevy Nova, got laid way more in the front seat of that truck than the back seat of that Nova......

That was the aft section of the frame twisting due to the solid rear axle. The cab was relatively smooth while the bed was rocking dramatically.

Notice that the blocks are staggered. If they had been in alignment, but out of phase with the wheel base, the ride in this truck would have been similar to that of a bucking horse.
