This was before Rey had knee problems. Barely legally able to drink and was arguably the best wrestler in the world; just did things that defied the laws of physics.
He was 21 when he entered the wcw and 27 when we went into the wwe
Best flyer but not the best wrestler. Funny how people equate flying to best wrestler. I was and am a Rey fan even though I rarely watch today's garbage.

Rey doesn’t get enough credit for his nerd culture . Having a spider-man mask before comics was mainstream tv . Plus the phantom suit from Halloween havoc is so iconic
His daredevil and flash outfits from mania 19 and 20 were bad ass as well.
Comics were still mainstream thanks to the cartoons (especially in the 90s) and Batman and Superman movies. They just boomed more and more after that.

The fact that good guy Rey Mysterio had a theme song that sounded like this and is called "March of Death" is hilarious to me, still an awesome theme tho
I think he was supposed to be a giant killer, facing opponents larger than him so in a way he was marching to his potential death every time.

My favorite WCW Cruiserweight and favorite theme song of Rey Mysterio. Great job with the remake,loved the nameplate. Been a fan of Rey Mysterio ever since I rented that WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 VHS back in 2002 and this theme was always stuck in my head. A perfect example of how a good theme and great booking can make a difference as to how the fans will easily connect with the wrestlers. Happy New Year!

His match with Eddie at Halloween Havoc is my favourite and in my opinion one of the greatest if not the greatest matches of all time the chemistry between these two was of the chain it was definitely deserving of its match of the year award in 1997.
It was the greatest match in WCW history. You can play as Rey Mysterio against Eddie Guerrero in WCW Halloween Havoc '97 in the 2k showcase mode on WWE 2k22.

Totally agree! Halloween Havoc was the first wrestling PPV I've ever seen and I remember that being the match that introduced me to Rey and Eddie and I was far more impressed by that match than all the main eventer matches on the card.
This theme was used in the pre-match promo package for Stone Cold vs Kurt Angle at SummerSlam 2001.
That double bounce into a hurricarana on Super Calo was one of the illest things I've seen him do. 😩😩😩

WCW vs nWo World Tour was AMAZING when it debut with thanks to Rey Mysterio & the Outsiders. Besides other nWo members, the WCW guys were returns from WCW vs the World. Not gonna lie, did shock me when DDP & Randy Savage were unlockables.

What superb athletic capabilities, I fear were squandered too soon when he had to move to WWE. Had to bulk up of course to stand against foes like Big Show and the not so Great Khali.

Biggest little man there ever will be i started watching Rey wrestle in WCW in '96 loved how he would shock everyone with his lucha style wrestling and beat the big dudes i loved when the filthy animals were born him billy kidman Eddie Konan torrie wilson when he retires he is gonna go down as the greatest luchador to ever step foot in a pro wrestling ring no disrespect to the other great luchadars out there but Rey has done it all from cruiserweight champion to world heavyweight champion in the WWE i just wish he could of won it more than twice and Eddie should have won it more than once

@@Ownveryautmnsyes it is, I remember last year I had a lot going on that with work and my shoulder. I was almost on the verge of losing my job due to me always being late. I had also fell on my shoulder and had to have two surgeries due to the first one not being done right. I was out of work for 4 months due to my shoulder. I've been doing a lot better with work and my attendance this song helped me overcome my obstacles.
