My star went perfect but my square isn't squaring
I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it depends on your tension.
@@crochetcabin6160 I spoke to soon I was halfway done, when I completed the square it came out perfect so sorry for the misunderstanding!
No problem at all. I am glad you succeeded đ
how many stitches should be around the outisde when finished?
@oliviaphillips4341 If I remember correctly, they should be 60, not counting the chains in the 4 corners.
@@crochetcabin6160 Thank you so much! I have been making these to create a blanket and wanted to make sure they were correct.
@@oliviaphillips4341 you are very welcome đ
My star is perfect but I couldnât follow the instructions to turn it into a square

My finished project had five sides
@@ritamullen4388 When you finish your star, you will start the first round to make it into a circle. The first step is a chain, and it doesn't count as a stitch, then follow the sequence as shown in the video. You should end up with a single crochet, and then you will join with a slip stitch into the chain you made when you started. At this point you should have 44 stitches.
(Each side of the square has 10sts, 10x4=40, plus 4sts,1 for each corner, Tot.44)
You will start the second round with the first 3stitches of the sequence and into the fourth stitch you will make a corner (the remaining 7 stitches you need to complete the sequence, you will make it at the end of the round, after your last corner).
Follow these steps: from where you joined chain 1 (doesn't count as a stitch), the next 3sts make: 1hdc, 1dc, 1tr c. Into the fourth st make: 1tr c, 2ch, 1tr c (corner).
Into the next 10sts, you are going to make: 1tr c, 1dc, 1hdc, 4sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1tr c. Into the next st make the corner.
Repeat these 10 sts steps, plus 1 for the corners, throughout the round.
After the last corner, your remaining sts are 7, and you will make: 1tr c, 1dc, 1hdc, 4sc.
I hope this will help you.
I found my mistake. Instead of decreasing the two treble stitches in the first row, I increased with two chains in that space. Thank you so much for all your help. You do a wonderful job.
Anytime! đ
Itâs not slow enough
