@crochetcabin6160 Very easy crochet top for beginners, adaptable to any size. First you will decide the length you want, then you will follow the simple pattern until you will reach your second measurement, the bust circumference. Always keep in mind the stretch of your yarn.
In this video I made a size S, bust circumference 34in/86.5cm. The length is 8in/28cm. Each strap is 11in/28cm. For the entire Top I used 4.55oz/129gr of yarn.
I used Lion Brand, Comfy Cotton Blend, 50% cotton/50% polyester, light n.3, color Whipped Cream.
Crochet hook I/5.5mm and for the strap H/5.00mm.

hii your'e making a great project but where I can follow your blue and white granny square pattern?
Thank you very much. If you take a look at the video, at the minute 12:43 I said that you want you may switch color. The pattern still the same, the colors combinations it's up to you. So, you will start with your blue, then you make your moon white, then switch to blue again and, the last round it should be white. I hope it helps you. 😊

Great tutorial. Just one issue. When you start a row, you're doing a single crochet and then a chain 2. But - if that's supposed to replace an extended double crochet and a chain one - i think it's too short. ... ?

How many chains can I use for a 3 month baby
@shivanimatam2983 you need to chain accordingly to the measurements you need and the yarn and crochet hook you use. In the description box below the video, I wrote some average sizes. For a 3 month baby, it could be 13/ 14-inch circumference and 2.5 inches wide, so you could chain accordingly to these measurements. Then, based on the number of chains you have, you distribute to your need, the single crochet and the half double crochet. I hope it helps.

@crochetcabin6160 I know how to do a two toned granny square, however I struggle with making the split perfectly down the diagonal and the colours tend to encroach just a bit on the other half right at the beginning of each 2nd half (if that makes sense) and I am doing mine gapless specifically

How did you get the measurements I mean not the measurements but the number inside that rectangle box how did you figure that out?
I think I already answered your question in a previous comment you made before. The number is obtained by the circumference of the head. If you have 52cm head circumference, you will chain until you get 52 cm. When you get that number, if you do a stitch that doesn't have any multiple, you divide by 4, then you add 4 stitches for the corners (increases). In this way, you have all you need to start. In the video tutorial, I had to distribute the stitches in a different way because the stitch I used had a multiple. I you need to start different sizes other than the one in the video, check the info box, everything is listed there. I hope it helps.
