It seems that damage was done on purpose under the guise of a party. All the stuff they mentioned to keep, were damaged.
i was thinking a teenager or college kid would have done this: maybe the child of the seller who was upsetâŠ
That "party vandalism" was so obviously staged for the show. No one even mentioned calling the cops. I'm surprised anyone here believed that was real.
What would the cops do? They didnât have security cameras so they donât know who did it.
They looked at each other n smiled a little bit
â@@Babytwin_I watched it multiple times and I didn't see them at each other đ€·
It happens that people steal your wood when building a house or try and destroy it. It happened to us when we were
building our house, they stole $4000 worth of wood from us, no one in the neighborhood saw anything. I just went
looking for people building a house and asked could I check their wood. I had my three initials on all my wood in
small letters. We found the thieves and I wanted them arrested and I took all my wood back. I told the police I
couldnât less what you do with them for stealing, but Iâm pressing charges against themâŠ
Crazy they showed you anything if they stole it if you didnât have a warrant. Dumbasses but hey at least it had a happy ending! Hopefully you got all or at least most of the wood back!! How much trouble did they get in for the theft?
That was not a party. This was out of spite.
âPartyâ was 100% staged. The stuff that was replaced were things they normally replace and update in all their other flips.
It's one thing when you plan to replace all those things AND it's in the budget. It's something different when you didn't plan in the budget for it. It doesn't make sense that they would do that to themselves for ratings because it comes out of their pockets.
Right and I can't believe they don't have insurance to cover this...
It's all about the drama, baby. Pumps up the ratings.
It seemed like the old owner took advantage of the quick closing and destroyed it! I bet during the meeting they talked about the things they liked.
This has happened several times to them from what Iâve seen. Youâd think by now theyâd be smart enough to hire a security guard when they do flips in a bad or questionable neighborhoods. It will save them a lot of money and headache.
They usually do flips in nice decent neighborhoods
I would think that homeowners insurance would cover this. I hope you got it before closing on the loan.
You would think neighbors would have called the cops with a destructive party like that going on. đ€
Fake vandalism. Funny though. The jeans on the ceiling fan LMAO! @4:35
It's worth it to immediately change the locks & put up basic cameras, like ring, cuz not uncommon for break- ins during renovations- sell tools & materials.
Why is the video blurry on half of these HGTV episodes? They have lines going right to left throughout the video.
Hgtv had the "party" to cause more drama
The vandalism seems staged. đ€
How
Ii think the seller and their party. Once escrow closed party time.
i was noticing how there wasn't any food or beer bottles around.
definitely
@Patti R did someone hit you on the head with it?
Oh my god, the damage done during the "party" was so fake, c'mon! Obviously staged by the production to make the show more interesting. Very cringe.
I think this is produced for drama, every episode there's 'drama' to attract views.
Yes, totally staged for ratings and drama
A home in great shape then destroyed? Breaking flooring? It must be someone who knows the pervious owner?
I wonder if the previous home owners did it?
I would be curious to know how you protected the house during and after the renovation, so this doesen t happen again.
Hopefully they purchased insurance
@@phyllisarrington7436 That is what I was thinking. It saved my neighbor when that happened to them.
Closed over the weekend so not sure on timing on any of that with the party, thinking they closed on Saturday, party Saturday nite...so more than likely didn't have insurance and neither did the seller. Word in the neighborhood on the sale but yeah, looks strange, who would tear everything up when having a party. Almost looks intentional to me too, vandalism vs. party.
I would have called police. No break in? Obviously someone with a key. Police would interview neighbours and checked security video. If previous owners were found to have had the party they should have been charged for the damage done. Absolutely shocking that anyone can get away with this!
You can always hire a security guard for the duration of the renovation. Large construction companies does it all the time. May cost you but it wonât cost as much as what people will destroy and steal.
This house is perfect for the older couple (she wore a zebra stripe top) who could easily live there into their late senior years.
This is very sad , imagine when you guys remodel and the same thing happens
This was pure vandalism, not a "party". I've had parties and never was the house destroyed.
Ur bad dude
This house gave me flashbacks to the babe Vegas couple that flip not the young couple but the other couple with the guy that was a hot head you definitely need alarms on the house re vandalism
You would think they would keep a bathtub. Children need a bathtub, and many people like to have a bathtub.
So many questionsâŠ..so few answers!
Christina is a visionaryđ„
I can't believe kids came in a smashed everything... Great job on the flip...
Because they didnât lol
The contractor might have done it in order to make more money to flip it.
"What do you think of the price?"
"Its too low. I want to pay 20% more"...said no one ever.
Such a stupid question.
They could done a nice demo and donate the materials instead faking a vandalism and intentional destroy them. So sad episode.
Not buying the vandelism. Looked staged. I guess they needed drama to get people to watch.
Never would they just do little work. They always tear down at least one wall and the flooring, c'mon. They would never have kept that cheap laminate ugly color.
I would think the higher price is worth all that is new. new electric, pool heater. it's all good
Why didn't they call the police. The cops would've of gotten finger prints? That would make good t.v.
Is this a set up?
Do you take out insurance as soon as you purchase the house.?
If you are in the business of flipping (my sister was), your business insurance kicks in to cover things as soon as you buy them.
But they should have backed right out and called the cops, not gone in with a camera crew.
Vandalism was obviously staged, as wiring and plumbing needed an upgrade to meet code so was going to be totally remodelled, also, Tarek and Christine showed restraint in discovering it and most people including me would be totally pissed.
Why do they like putting the stove right above the microwave? Seen a few episodes where theyâve done this. Iâm not sure if this an American thing to do, but in Australia we have the range hood with fan extracting the smoke out while cooking. đŹ
The fan is built into the microwave and vented up through the roof. We had one in our last home.
The fan is built into the microwave - very common
People are evil! đ destroying some one else property!
Looks like I set up to me just to get ratings ? On the show.
i'd kill someone (not really) to be able to buy that house now for $549,900. it makes my head hurt just thinking about it. prices will never bee that good unless you move to meth town america.
Such staged bs... pitiful attempt at drama by the producers
Sure they called it in to the police. Can claim loss on income tax
This has been done on purpose
You didn't call the police?
What are the police going to lmao
This was ONLY a nine minute video clip.
@@hubcityfinest6044 Insurance companies like to see a police report. Definitely not a 9-1-1 emergency here. ha ha.
I think this was stage. They needed ratings and send someone to make it look real. I donât buy it one bit
2022 they need to update their film crew.
The show has since ended
Insurance coverage?
This was only part of a longer video. nine minutes shown here.
Shocking,hooligans
This is staged but also staged as In fake lol
You think that many of the open house viewers are just nosey neighbors?
Seriously people like this who have no regard for others disgust me! Disgusting excuses for human beings! People don't raise their kids to respect themselves or other people anymore!!! Parents need to do better! People need to do better! You can't have civilization without civil people!
Staged đ
Hello đ dear
So fake. No way would she ever keep that laminate flooring especially if they are putting in granite counters. And the sprinkling of clean solo cups in the front yard....please.
The party thing was staged we all know they would never keep that dated color laminate floor
Fake..
Sheer evil
Hello dear đ
Shower is ugly
This must be staged unless the neighbors are the type not to care if a place gets trashed
This is fake
Let's be honest.......no one believes their fake story....they needed a reason to explain why they have to destroy a perfect fine house and.......having their open concept. đ
Exact
Some people in the comments believe in it . Thatâs incredible.
The floor is cleaned. No footprints in Coke or beers, or piss
Just few hammer bangs and some sprays, some glasses and one pizza.
And yes
They have an insurance policy
Huh? It is their house. They do not need a reason to do anything. They can do whatever they want to!!!
Staged or not, they didn't actually do the open concept here. They left the kitchen pretty much closed.
