I agree the floors look morre like decking, it's awful but the house looks good and I'm pleasantly surprised he didn't close the bathroom window, one of my pet peeves window less bath/kitchen

The statement flooring was a risk but at least it's not generic and cookie-cutter. To my eye the change in color on every board interrupts the flow and makes the house look less spacious.
I'll take generic any day over that ugly flooring. Any furniture will compete with that busy pattern. It's never good to have the floor be the focal point of the home.
I love the warm tones. This pandemic and the recent lockdowns made hate all of the cold greys in my house. The warm tones make me feel cozy, warm, and safe. I love it. The floor is a bit of a miss for me tho
This was a really old episode. Christina never chose warm tones again. Literally every house was very and white.
Tarek's choice of floors were much better 🤔
Just by the tiles design you know this predates the grey/white newer episodes
This is one of my favorite flips - no hospital white cabinets in the kitchen and the flooring was unique.
I totally agree with the white cabinets !!!!
But that floor and bathroom tiles are already updated together. That brown make old 70’s :/
@John Jones It was just an opinion, actually it never matters to me what other people think about my taste, as long as I'm happy. It was refreshing to see different color cabinets used in this episode.

Oof, the floors remind me of a cheap apartment complex. The staging is atrocious. I cant even. Lol. You can tell that it’s an old episode because people were okay with dark cabinetry, flooring, walls, and staging... Yikes
This has to be a very early episode because the finishes they chose look dated to my eye and it lacks the panache of their later design style. And I can't stand that flooring.
It is a season 2 episode. It would have aired in 2014, probably filmed in 2013.

This is one of their earliest flips. I cannot understand that Tarek cannot accept that Christina's choices always are the correct ones. The buyers, who after all are the most important, loved her choices and paid more than the asking price. 👏👏👏
He definitely should have let her take charge of design. he was always focussed on not over spending. I can see both sides. yes a good design can add value, but you risk making less money or even a loss if you over-spend. you can spend a million making it beautiful, but if the local area comps are $500k, you will never get the money back

Dont like floors
Floors and kitchen cupboards are hideous! The kitchen looks like a cheap 1970s built public housing dive. And the only place that flooring would work is in an isolated rundown shack on a mountain.

Christina was WAY off on the ugly flooring. It's hard to find furniture to go with such a busy pattern. That would almost be a deal breaker for me. Everything else was fairly neutral. It would have been better to choose neutral flooring that didn't stand out. It's never good to have the flooring be the focal point. 👎
