In "Detroit" that term has been to describe ppl who deny access. With all due respect bro, you are from Pontiac and not Detroit. You moved to Detroit at 15, so you don't have those same "forming" as someone who grew up there. Detroit and Pontiac 20 mins away from each other. Most people in Pontiac got family in Detroit and have lived back and forth, the culture is damn near the same but Pontiac is on an extremely smaller scale. Em wasn’t part of the DETROIT CULTURE; so rather he grew up in Detroit, Warren or anywhere else he moved to a whole different beat and vibe than the CULTURE. Yes, every city has its own vibe but it’s all an off shoot of Detroit. The culture or mentality is more then the geographic location, it’s the FAMILY TIES the people you know, who you grow up around and how you grew up that plays a bigger factor in shaping the mentality of the people in Metro Detroit.
