  • The Cylinder head for the performance 2f motor has been a long time in the making. In this Episode we take a stock 2f head and fit it for larger valves as well as assemble everything to get it ready to go back on the block. What a amazing experience machining the head was.

I literally just finished my 2f performance build and i went to the chassis dyno before so I would have a baseline with my old engine “tired” before 100hp 185tq before
After 1mm overbore, .060 head shave, bigger Chevy 1.96 valves, bowl blend, LS beehive springs, Delta cam torque grind,
    New 6-1 header, Webber 38/38
    After power on same dyno
149hp and 231TQ and that was still lean on air fuel finally got my new bigger jets and going back next week to retest but I’m conservatively expecting another 10hp and 10tq I was way lean at 14.1 afr so I’m very happy with my results gained 50%!!! With similar mods!

I was surprised how well the 2f responded to Modification my expectations were 30% increase so the fact that I’m Already 50% and probably gonna end up at 60% increase is amazing to me I had to 60 is much more usable with that extra power can actually pass somebody on the highway 😂

Great video guys. a couple of questions. What size valves did you end up using. And why not open up the area around the larger valves in the combustion chamber. Also . Very nice design of new machine you have there. Did you machine the head and deck to the point that you will need different length pushrods? Getting closer. will you end up dynoing this after it is done?

i would reach out to classic motors to find out about sizing etc. i may but dont want to stress out the brand new motor parts.

So the question is... what do you charge to do this work on my 2F head?
