What Happens If you drive-off WITHOUT your Key Fob

Modern Cars have a stop-start button and lets you start as long as it can receive signal from the fob. The question is, what happens if you drive without the fob present

The most likely scenario is what happened to me:
Me and the wife got in the car, start the car and drive off.
Arrive at shop and wife gets out of the car. I drive home then realise that I haven't had my car key in my pocket but the wife had the spare key in her bag!
If I had stopped anywhere on the way home I would have been in trouble 😅
