- I made one stratocaster for a long time ago. I saw this guitar while I was surfing on internet.
I had a lefty guitar neck and some other guitar parts from my old projects. I study too many images on internet about travel guitar. I draw some sketches. Tension wheels are made on my desktop lathe, I change cheap pickup magnet with neodyum magnets. I made head piece from an aluminium block. Black knob is from aircraft instruments. pickup and back covers are made from black plexiglass. All wood parts are handcrafted. I'm going to change saddle with tune-o-matic near future.
Hope you like the project. Bulent

Pretty darn cool guitar, but maybe next video, don't use that super long transition effect, it makes it hard to look at
Almost exactly the same as my late 90's Traveler Pro series. On my tail tuner builds, I leave the shoulders of the headstock on (so you can hang it up), do a simple string through above the nut, and use steel rod stock for a zero fret or use a Floyd Rose locknut (technically overkill).
I respect your practical handcraft spirit
Nice, I have a short scale neck at home I think I'll try to do something similar
Absolutely amazing!
YOU are hired! Take a business trip to X (unspecified location) and you can tell them the details of setting up the factory, duplicating your super well-done! vid. (if U did it, triple kudos!). Skilled craft! Love it! The lathe pieces are cool! (...gonna ask my bro-in-law, a luthier, if he's got any necks...)
Süper olmuş gerçekten harika ötesi elinize sağlık
what is the name of the part that u use to roll string at the back of the guitar?
I did those parts on my lathe you can see at the video time 5:17 thanks
Good Job!
well done!
Bravo!
Great!
Very cool but please change that long sound track
I mean the song of dada daddo dim dam dam×1000 😄!
Thanks!

Very well done
That’s soo cool! GoodJob😊👍
I own a Traveler guitar, and yes, I see that you made an exact copy of one. But maybe you should have talked to someone who owns one before doing so.
1) The wrap-around tension wheels cause it to be difficult to tune, because you have to turn the tuner half a turn before it starts to affect the pitch, and then if you overshoot, you have to turn it half a turn in the other direction.
2) Having the tuners on the back side means that the ends of the strings, if not trimmed perfectly flush, will end up poking the player in the belly and snagging their shirt.
Aside from that, it's a great guitar, but considering these things, I think a better guitar to copy to make a great travel guitar would be a Steinberger. It uses tuners at the bottom of the body and avoids these problems, and is no longer overall than the Traveller.
I too own one, and I trained many, many, years ago as a traditional violin maker. TBH I don't experience any difficulties with the tuners position, although it can be awkward to reach the buttons; and once, once, in over 40 years of guitaristing: I had the top E snap, whip back... and cut my finger!
If I was to redesign one, I agree, I'd probably be looking at something like Schaller saddle mount tuners, just a neater solution all round.
I have a late 90's Traveler Pro series, a Steinberger "GL" type clone, and a Steinberger "GM" type clone. I've built both Steinberger and tail tuner type guitars. Any lack of responsiveness in the Traveler may be due to the material used for the wrap-around wheels - or age. The Steinberger "R" type trem is a great unit, but much heavier than non-locking tuners. For nohead builds, I use Steinberger "R" type trems (Overlord of Music brand, $31 on Ebay), or tail tuners with no wrap-around (for non-trem builds).
Good wood floor...
So you made an exact copy of the "Ultra-Light Electric Travel Guitar" designed and manufactured by The Travel Guitar Company, maybe you should give them some credit. You can purchase it at The Guitar Center music store for under $300.
Genius...
Wow
cool

Excellent. Impressive professional looking construction. Great job!
Wow thanks alot for your possitive feedback
Интересное изобретение для струн, 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Very nice! I'm going camping, and rather too late, have thought about making a compact guitar. One thing I notice about yours: the tuning machines should be the other way round, as the string pull will tend to pivot the wheel away from the worm, rather than into the worm. If you look at a standard headstock, you'll see what I mean. I made an instrument years ago and made the same mistake, but in my case I used very cheap tuners whereas yours do look more robust. Nevertheless, if you experience tuning problems, that may be the reason.
Hi thanks for your comments. I didn't get the point about tuning worms. The wheels are just transfering tension from head unit to tuning keys. 1 to 1. There are no tuning problem. Good luck.
@@bulentuysalertr The 'wheel' I mean is on the end of the tuner shaft, and is a gear wheel; not the guide wheels you made, which look very good by the way. The 'worm' is the gear that rotates when you turn the tuner. The worm then drives the wheel, which rotates at a greatly reduced rate, at 90 degrees to the worm. The tuning machine should be mounted so string tension pivots the wheel into the worm, whereas yours are the other way round.
hes saying that the tunes are on the upside down. the way the tuners are made they provide much more tuning stability if you switch the left and right sides. you have the left tuners on the right side and right on the left as in the video
Very cool , it looks real sturdy , do the tuners get bumped out of tune while playing though... thanks for sharing !!!
hi thanks for your conmmet. no its not but if I do it again I'll make solid body and neck together. with this version I have little bit bowed neck starting from the joints between body and neck. rest of all quite good. maybe using stronger wood for body will solve the poblem. good luck
question is how to make a headphone jack with it same with guitar pedals so they can be more portable
o yeah..i can't wait to go out and spend $100.000 for machines and tools... so i can make a $300 traveler guitar 🤣
Did the video say the guitar wouldn't need any power tools to make
To be 100% honest... Yes you are very good at what you do... And yes I would buy from you
@@masterofzero7105 yah I was joking anyway bud no need to take offense
Where did you get the body template?
Hangi gitar manyetiği kullandınız ? marka model ismi verir misin ?
Merhaba fender strat manyetiği kullanıldı
Dude, it looks like The Tripper by Stranough Guitars Indonesia. Check it out.
quick question, is there a reason for the pickup to be a that distance ? can it be closer to the neck ?
Hi, I made it according to the internet photos. You can change position. But I believe you cannot move it to closer because of peg's cavity
is the music done using this guitar?
Sounds more like an acoustic
so does the amp fold up ???
Do you have pix of you playing it?
Dick Gibson I'll add soon thanks
Good looking guitar, but hard to watch the video with all zoom transitions and repetitive soundtrack.
Do you make to sell?
how does it sound tho?
Beaker?
The repetitive shite music is killing me.
You may change video any time ...
Totally pointless ...you still have to lug an amplifier arround buy a 3/4 size acoustic much lighter and will sound better
It can be done in 4 hours..czcams.com/video/P_jQUUJEYq8/video.htmlsi=DFZm_CJwVNDxp-F0
