While replacing the radiator have a look at the coolant expansion tank they prone to leaks too on the design of the 996 as this was porsche first water cooled engines

Those prices are pretty crazy for a salvage, you can get a clean title one for around that price at dealer only auctions, I always see them at 10k or less. You should try to find a dealer hookup

Hey Danny. I’m sure you’ve heard about the 3d printed Lambo. Would be interesting to see you 3d print some parts. Make it cheaper, and more DIY. Get some custom panels too it would be sick.
The reason why they checked the other side aswell is cause of the in case of a front end collision. the crumple zones can only do their part. the hit still goes thru the metal and can bend/shift alot of stuff on the other side. its basically the same as resonance in tapping a wineglass.
