Another great venison roast recipe is one pkg gravy mix, one package ranch powder, one stick butter, fill with stock. It’s amazing served over mashed potatoes.

I have been on a lot of bear hunts, mountain lion hunts, and racoon hunts but have never harvested a deer for some reason. Would love to harvest my first one with Flair. I think he would make it a very special hunt. Great shots from Brother beefcake and Papa beefcake.
Buy beef stock, never broth...pro tip 👌. Stock has added natural ingredients, carrots, celery, onion, etc. Usually around the same price, and stock is much more nutrient rich. Good for the whole fam damily 😀

Get yourself some Wondra flour and follow the directions on the container to make some awesome gravy with the drippings left over in the insta-pot. Life changing and about as easy as those gravy packets.

Hey Fllair, I have an idea for u and I am sure u get a bunch of rhem all the time, but I think this is one that can really help u next time u are either by urself or crowded up like u just were!!! There should be a track system for ur camera to slide around on above the windows!! If u had had that u could have moved completely out of the way and let ur brother slide on over to have been more comfortable to shoot and u could have stood just behind him and watched the camera screen to stay on point to film. Then when ur by urself u then slide the camera along the tracking to were u want it. Instead of having to move the camera and tripod and take a huge chance of making a ton of noise!! Then have a swing pivot to turn the camera at urself when need be to talk to ur peep's!!!
Hey Flair, I do something very similar to that recipe. Next time you do that, put the meat on a slice of white bread and then add the gravy with a little bit of black pepper and enjoy. something about the white bread just pulls it all together.

Next time make the gravy from the liquid left in the cooker. Depending on how much you want. You stir in flour maybe a little cream in a saucepan. Stir until you get the thickness you like
When you make a roast salt an pepper it then pan sear it all over get it good an brown then throw it in the slow cooker you wont regret ot
Flair, I heard if you put rice grains in your seasoning shakers, it'll absorb the moisture and keep it from clumping up
Try the inner loin next it’s the best cut of meet on the deer
Flair, @ approx 7min, you mentioned that you needed to be quite 🤫 , and previously mentioned that it was a gazillion degrees in the same blind, if I'm not mistaken. My thought is add "egg carton" foam to the interior ,like that used for studio soundproofing, and should double as insulation for temperature control. I'm sure that y'all Beefcakes can handle it....🤔🤨 on 2nd thought, make sure you open all the windows and the door. And don't plan on harvesting anything for a few days. I'd recommend something like 3M Spray Adhesives; general purpose, or "77". Definitely worth it, and a Total GameChanger!

Remove the silver skin from around the roast before cooking, that will allow the meat to soak in any seasoning plus help reduce any tough areas. Might try some French onion soup in with meat. Good you can enjoy hunting with your family. Good memories.
Tru using like 2 cans of cream of potato soup and some beefy onion soup mix on a deer roast. Slow cooker on high for 4-5 hours. Makes its own gravy and is fire.

A tip you could us is once you kill a deer leave it on the ground and stay in your stand because sometimes the other deer will sniff the dead deer (doesn’t work every time)

If the doe you shot was the same doe that came in with the buck you gotta get a double mount of them together! That would be so awesome, plus your brother shot the buck and your dad shot the doe, even more reason to have them both mounted, you don’t see many mounted doe, I think this would be an awesome way to incorporate one into a taxidermy piece and have them done together. Just a tip if you take the silver skin off the rump roast it will taste better, that’s where the game taste comes from. Similar to leaving skin on a fish filet for transport and it ending up tasting fishy.

The biggest secret to the BEST pot roast is to put a couple of those gravy packs into the broth before you cook it. You’ll love it!!!
I use the water my roast sat in for gravy adds some extra flavor to it.
You should eat the deer heart on a video it's delicious.i will cut into the heart about a half Inch then turn then knife and cut around so in the end you have a 2 ft peice of meat that's half inch thick .then I would take smashed apples and Maple syrup and spread it out and then wrap up the meat and tie it up like a roast and put It in the oven. It's great

Just a tip flair if your hunting a stand that is close to a feild where deer are bedding u should use a red or green light because they can’t see that. You’ll see a lot more deer if u do!

Throw that on some buttered toast and you’ve got SOS (sh!t on a shingle). Bomb meal, got my mouth watering and pulled out my elk roast to do this.

You can make a mad gravy by adding flour to the broth in a pot on the stove and stir it until it thickens up

when the deer hunched... i shot a fawn in denmark last year (regulating) it were my first roe deer ever and i hit the same double lung shot and it did exacly the same as the doe here
