Raising the bells at Maidstone (individually) + lowering 9 and 10.

- Taken whilst sampling the sounds for Abel. The intention was to lower them individually but we had to get them down pretty quickly, so ended up lowering 9 and 10 together - which just so happened to turn out quite nicely!
Turn up the volume for that Taylor hum.
Special thank you to Graham (maidstone10) as well for letting me post footage and take the sound samples. - Zábava
I've recently found myself very fascinated with big bells. Just the engineering and craftsmanship that's behind them. It's incredible that people found out how to craft metal into these large impressive things that produce a loud powerful resonance, and they figured how to tune them to produce specific resonances. It's timeless technology, as seemingly primitive and/or basic as it seems it's really not, it's genius. I wish more cities around the world would bring back bell towers.
love the wooden arm that switches the clapper's position😊
😀😎
What an ingenious way to flip the clapper. Never seen that before.
11:09 😍😍
The finest rings of ten in my opinion. I must ring these outstanding bells.
Very proud to be captain here
@@maidstone10 I bet you are. They are glorious
So cool how that arm puts the clapper in the correct position!
I Think that tenor is notorious for being raised wrong.
In our country Lebanon they flipped the clapper the wrong way in was correct in the start
1:45 i thought good god!!!! someone certainly had their weetabix!!!! if it weren't for the transition on the bottom cam you could be fooled!
My friend Jamie will be very happy about this!
hahahaha, yes here for the sounds!
@@RingerJamie I heard your scream of excitement from down here!
The back 2 being lowered of any big ring is just so glorious!!
Brilliant!
Historical Kent session.
This is a fantastic video, Alex. Glad of the different angle. I particularly like our ringing down of 9th and tenor. Sounded amazing in the ringing room and just as wonderful from the bell chamber. Audio is excellent
This seems like a demonstration of two similar Italian bell styles. When all the bells are put up each one is like the Tyrol instead when the two biggest ones are put down it is the Lucchese style.
This is the audio that Slushyduck put in his realistic bells game
Yeah everyone make it
I play the realistic bells
From roblox
nice!
Wow! That is quite a network of bells! 💖🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔💖

Beautiful Bells, would like to see them being rung the normal way

very good bells!
no se por que me encanta ver estos videos de campanas. lastima que no son muchos.
these are all the notes that all the bells can produce
I remember it is common for the clapper to go the wrong way on the 10th/tenor bell.
Oooh!!! I love these bells! What camera do you use?? GoPro??
Thank you BellringerBen, fantastic bells indeed! Used a GoPro Hero 7 for this.
@@ar_ringingvideos7428 Ah ok... When I can start ringing again I am hoping of making some belfry videos.
I wonder why they didn't replace the old wooden clapper on the tenor to a metal one
I wonder why some tenors go up wrong even when you check the bell each back stroke??
This is because neither of the clappers have counterweights on them. Imagine a bell with a counterweighted clapper. Then the problem would be fixed
Quite compact really
Who put a thumbs down?...and why!
Chua
I played that in Roblox realistic bells
@@jamairasilvallana5004 same
I love the sound of these 10 bells also its in roblox
I don’t know?🤷🏼♀️

@@ar_ringingvideos7428 OK. Thanks.
@@ar_ringingvideos7428 how do I get inside the bellfry
❤
Will listen to the heavenly sound of bells anytime, but I'm 100% lost as to why they're ringing in this manner & all stop in an inverted position?

How there a tenor
The first one sounds like realistic bells
Bel Reb3 Complimenti
Bells like that don't vibrate do they?
Absolutely. All bells vibrate. :)
@@jeffwhite4227 So like when the clapper strikes them, that what causes the bell to vibrate like that?
Wooden shafted clappers can just flip the clappers on tenors to the wrong way
sss
The big bell its just a katolikus templon

@@maidstone10 The overturning is apparently so common. Pulled up all the way up, they also stay up there.
