Superb footage! They do sound great up there too. I've been trying to end the reputation about these bells being 'tricky, awkward and heavy' (which is apparently why hardly any people ring here - apart from myself), when, in fact, they're perfectly fine and, as you said, easy to handle. When will ringing like this happen again, unfortunately, I have no idea. I've really got to try and get the band to ring on the back bells more, I'm sure it'll do them a world of good!

I've been there Lymington years years ago but not rung.

Always pull when the treble pulls at every heavy bell tower & that's on the third pull the devon rise, wouldn't cope the bristol rise at lymington. I'm Braunton North Devon.

A really lovely Whitechapel 8,one of the finest along with St Olaves Hart Street. I used to ring foe weddings here in the 1960s along with Clerkenwell a classic G&J 8.

I've recently found myself very fascinated with big bells. Just the engineering and craftsmanship that's behind them. It's incredible that people found out how to craft metal into these large impressive things that produce a loud powerful resonance, and they figured how to tune them to produce specific resonances. It's timeless technology, as seemingly primitive and/or basic as it seems it's really not, it's genius. I wish more cities around the world would bring back bell towers.

Always lovely to see the lilliputters so much promise for ringing Jewry are onexof the finest decent sized 8s from Whitechapel and a lovely church too. What can i say about Bow, well my dad and Billl Theobald hung them in 1961. That is the first time i have ever heard the back 8, they sound wonderful. The finest bells in London I think although I love the iconic unmistakeable sound of St Pauls, old school but the sound of London. Walworth dont do it for me, i always think light bells or superlight bells sound to toy like, a d that is just my personal view. My old man also hung the old 12 at Cornhill, what a horrible manky sound of old potsxand pans they were, so glad they were replaced.

Who ever was ringing the second up needed a small box

Little bell in ringing room may be rung sometimes, but i don't think that it rung along with the bells in the belfry. It may be a decoration, that i have seen in the Maidstone bell ringing game in Roblox.
