THE JONI PROJECT - A Celebration Of Joni Mitchell's Album „Blue"
For its 50th anniversary Anne de Wolff, Iris Romen & Stefanie Hempel perform Joni Mitchell's masterpiece in full length.
Three women, three multi-instrumentalists and singer-songwriters join forces for a unique project.
Anne de Wolff, known from her collaboration with BAP, Bosse or Calexico, the Dutch singer and composer Iris Romen (Tim Neuhaus, Ben Becker, Astrid North) and Hamburg's Beatles expert and interpreter Stefanie Hempel.
With new interpretations and colourful instrumentations, the three musicians bring Joni's bittersweet songs from "All I Want", to "California" and "River" to the stage in all their dark and light nuances.

Joni Mitchell is difficult to cover with real authenticity because she is such a distinct and original artist--but the performances here are just sublime and joyful. I'm old enough to have had the Blue record in the 70s, and you won't hear better versions outside of the record than these. Thanks for making it new again.

Fantastic! Am really impressed! As a lover of Joni’s Blue album that I was obsessed with in the 70s this is the best rendition I’ve heard from anyone other than Joni.

I love this, But I can't see the point of it. Apart from the obvious fact that you enjoyed doing it. It's great.
Dulcimer here is rhythm, but Joni plays lead. Voices can't match Joni either. Pass
