  • Well and here it is the Ideal 6000 Lbs single post car lift in action so far so good and I'm loving it did already some upgrades to it and as you can see it'll lift a full size SUV no problem. I will come back after a year or so to do a final review on it but as of right now I'm impressed and I hope it stays that way

    Great video! I have never heard of a single post car lift till I talked to a guy who owns one. I like that you don't have to drill into the concrete, which makes it a great option for me.

    I was just looking at these today. They're now $5999.99 Canadian. I have a mid rise scissor lift and love it, but it does limit some activities. I'm sure I'd get used to it but it does seem kinda wobbly. I'd be afraid having to really bear down on a breaker bar that I'd upset the balance.

      I use a tall adjustable jack stand on the opposite side of the post and that gives a ton extra stability. I've used it on every car van and SUV that comes through the shop and 0 problems and I do a lot of engine and transmission repairs. Thank you for watching

      There’s not a 2 post lift or any type of column lift I’ve worked with that the car don’t wobble on it, it’s inevitable. Under hoist jacks and in front and rear of vehicle and it eliminates all front the back wobble

    We used to have something similar 25 years ago in the first shop I worked in but back then it was bulky and huge . It had its own controls to move it and it was limited on ground clearance . If you wasn't careful you would bend a driveshaft . It's amazing how much things change but use same principle of function. Pretty cool lift . Make sure your reel can handle the amps mine smoked using a battery charger on it .

    serious i was not thinking this was ideal (before watching)..ive been researching 100 different lifts and because of the non concrete issue i have, it would be actually worth it....
    a couple of quick questions because i think im liking this over all of them.
    1. 110 or 220 (plug or hard wired?)
    2. does it lift any higher than the video..not that i need it to go too high, i was hoping for just a tad higher than the video (chest level) for brakes, suspension for maximum comfort
    3. its not bolted to the ground at all?
    if i got one, i would probably get one or two extra tall jack stands as a precaution backup, as you can never be too safe when it matters.

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  Před 2 lety +3

      110 volts but I installed a cord reel so I don't have to drag a extension cord around lol and yes it'll go just as high as a regular lift but my celling is only 10 ft tall And it's NOT bolted to the ground and you can move it around really easy that was for me the #1 seller on this because of "limited" space in my shop. With SUVs and pickup trucks I use a jackat the far end of the main beam to help make it more stable.
      hope this helps and thank you for watching
