    Theres a reel thats been popping up from eastwood or one of those type of companies who do R & D to make a tool and then harbor freight copies it. The thing is tho if HF can sell it at that price why can't you! I'd stay away from tool truck knives unless its a USA Kershaw which snap on has a couple of models with branding on it.

      @@Toyotas_n__Tools I'm not a big knife collector but I have a couple. The Matco one is very nice but the blade quality is at best junk lol. And I agree I think HF is making plenty of profit on what they sell so could the others

    The Cornwell and Harbor Freight porta powers do look like the same tool. The inside of the cases have slightly different layouts. Most likely they are sourced from the same manufacturer overseas. In almost every flier Cornwell seems to put a lot of emphasis on the Blue Power tools.

    • @Toyotas_n__Tools
      @Toyotas_n__Tools Před 2 dny

      Thats where all their money is made, I doubt they sell a whole lot of USA hardline tools like sockets and wrenches then their ratchets are ok but nothing to write home about. You gotta be careful with some of the high tooth count ones because it maybe a USA handle with Taiwan innards.

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage Před dnem

      Looked to me the same layout but I'm sure it's made in the same China factory. Yes they promote the Blue Power line way more than the USA made tools ... thank you for watching

      I think they sell more of the USA made tools than you think plenty of times it's on back order lol. But the Cornwell USA made sockets will standup to Snap-on in my opinion ... thank you for watching

      @@CountryMileGarage Cornwell was nonexistent in my area when I worked in the industry. A coworker had a Cornwell short handled 3/8 flex head ratchet that I took a liking to. Other than that I have no other experience with them. Later on after I left the automotive business there was a Cornwell guy in my area. He retired about 5 years ago.

    • @prevost8686
      @prevost8686 Před dnem

      Cornwell and Matco are essentially rolling showrooms for Taiwanese and Chinese made products anymore. Neither company rarely has a front page special on their USA hardline tools. Everyone has their personal opinion on it but if I’m buying a product that can be bought from numerous different places I will usually go with the best price that I can get. I will only pay more for items that you can’t buy just anywhere and are of excellent quality. That’s the primary reason why I’ve purchased so many USA made tools over my career. SnapOn, Mac, Matco had premium USA tools and a showroom that rolled right up to the shop. Much has changed over the years and a lot of it hasn’t been for the better. With inflation being so high I can’t fault anyone for trying to make money stretch as far as it can but long term I still think that Tool Trucks selling Taiwan tools that are just rebrands of items that can be bought for 1/2 of what the trucks are asking is a bad decision for them long term. Especially as unstable as the average tool man is today. The American tool industry is in deep waters and many have already fallen victim to offshore manufacturing that benefits from lower regulations and government subsidies.

    Great tool haul. I like the idea of banana clip ends on the test leads. Gives you a lot of options. The Cornwell center punch looks like it is comfortable to use. My Dad went through a lot of Stanley tape measures over the years being a stone mason. He could have used a Snap-on tape measure with lifetime warranty. My Dad also went through a lot of windshields in his 88 Chevy pickup. His insurance company cancelled his glass coverage. Snap-on would probably refuse to warranty his tape measures. 🤣🤣
