Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 8 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have 2 half Thai, half American boys named Luke and Leon. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 6 years.
Wat and I have owned several businesses together on Maenam walking street in Koh Samui. Right now our restaurant Lilikoi Bistro is closed but we will let you know when we reopen.

The "Chupak" fruit is called "Chempedak" here in Malaysia. The best tasting type is the golden red "Honey Chempedak".
"Chempedak" seeds are edible by boiling in hot water. "Chempedak" is more aromatic than Jackfruit. Sometimes, Jackfruit
can cause bad stomach upset.

Watching your life reminds me of my experience living and meeting my husband in Belize. I gave birth to our 1st child in the dense jungle region, Toledo district. We are in the states right now as my husband is working here. We hope to return to Belize soon. You’ve inspired me to perhaps document our lives there as well… we’ll see!

Nice trip with your husband & Luke. Luke is very sociable he can easily find his way to get along and play with other kids. It's a good sign that he is socially well- adjusted and a happy kid. Leon on the other hand is a sweet boy too

I really enjoy watching your videos! My parents are Hmong, but they're from Laos and sought refuge in Thailand during the Vietnam War, so they can both speak Thai fluently. Thus, me and my siblings have been immersed in the Thai culture since infancy and love it very much. My husband likes the rooster from the video. LOL! I agree it’s very cruel. I live in west Texas border line with the state of New Mexico and although illegal, cockfighting happens here too especially in the rural areas. I’ve also heard of dogfighting. How sad what these animals go through.

We have that type of fruit too…. soft and sweet in the southern parts of the Philippines, we called it “marang”. It has its own taste and sweetness and the texture is soft and its fleshy.
