By 1944/45 these coins would have been mostly worthless in terms of buying power especially 45 if there was even anything to buy legally by that point black market rates I’ve read were offen hundreds of marks if they even took them by 45 hyperinflation was setting in they over printed the mark it’s interesting they even had the zinc left and working mints the Japanese wartime coins are also pretty interesting it’s rumored they were going to use porcelain by the end but they dident enter circulation you can find them though

Too many banknotes and a scarcity of goods does push prices up. Numista has all the porcelain coins. They also issued cardboard coins in China. Thanks mate.

Do you clean them with Acetone? What would you do if they had mold?

I heard that during WW2, Japan was planning to invade and take Australia after first bombing Darwin, and they even had currency printed up ready for after the take over... do you have any of that currency of know what it looked like?

The Japanese used those notes intended for Australia in New Guinea. banknote.ws/COLLECTION/countries/AUS/OCE/OCE.htm
