My man Liam, I am an Arsenal fan. I have seen many many melt downs, screams etc. from this channel, thus I watch it only if they do analyze a game with James, Turkish, Mo and guys who are talking with their mind and not with their feelings. They are making good content and I really enjoy listening to other opinions. This is a fans' channel so it is reasonable from Robbie to film reactions of the fans whoever they are because fans take losses and wins differently because they are different. To sum up, I do see Robbie as a guy who loves the club and he shows us everyone's reaction and opinion, like a real reporter should do.

The thing is talksport get more views from drama as well when a manager or team do badly theyâre dying to get a fan on to slag the team

I've watched my national team play, in 90th minute eventhough we are losing and knew we will lose, we still singing, jumping, cheering our team. Then our team score a consolation goal and we scream, jumping like crazy. We felt very happy even we lose because we love our team. Football can bring all sort of emotions to the fans no matter what the circumstances is. As for the aftv, reaction video/streaming is part of their job. They are youtuber, content creator. Is it fake or not? I dont know

Spot on Vizeh, Iâm in that mid 30âs bracket and in my mind there was nothing massively wrong with what Ray said! He said it the wrong way though and was patronising so admit that.
I canât stand AFTV and they donât represent me, so itâs an age thing as you say.
All people have to do is not watch them like I do - is not that big of a deal our fans make it out to be.
While I do understand being a bit more responsible when talking about your club on social media I also think they've become as big as they are because they're to a large extent genuine in what they say and do. That genuine, distinct personality and no holding back regarding criticism is easier to relate to than the more impartial criticisms you may see from pundits on something like Sky Sports.

I respect you hugely and been watching for years now but I disagree on one thing mate. Just because you donât react like other fans, doesnât make them wrong. Expectations of the club have to play a part too. You know as a Burnley fan youâre just happy to be in the PL so when you lose itâs not that big of a deal for the fans. Arsenal are a club whoâve dipped significantly over the years more than they ever should, so when they lose itâs just pure anger.
Thatâs the only thing I disagree with though, everything else is spot on imo. Also congrats on everything happening recentlyđđ»
Most of the people at AFTV have that kind of shouty meltdown personality. I understand why people would/ wouldnât like that but you can see when itâs an act and when itâs passion. Iâd never want Vizeh to go that cause it doesnât suit him and it just wouldnât look right but Iâd still watch every episode/ live stream if he became a Burnley youtuber
I get what you're saying but I celebrated like that v fulham bc we destroyed them the entire game var against us on 3 occasions and when we got the equaliser it was good
When I'm watching a football match.... I act like Troopz for the most part. Especially when it is upsetting. Sometimes it's not about the bag, who said that if the camera wasn't on he wouldn't act the same. I feel he would.
I think that is just a personal trait tbh, cause when I'm watching a match I'm very loud in celebration and get loud in the bad parts as well

Has anyone explored the connection that AFTV seems to get more hate than any other fan channel while also being the fan channel with more persons of color as on air talent?
Not even an AFTV fan or Arsenal fan but Parlour went too far with that statement about Robbie and AFTV. Disrespectful to say that to the fan of a club he played for.
So which is which now: they are happy when we lose or they are happy after drawing a game to Fulham?
I think Robbie said it well when he said he doesn't give a damn what people think because no matter what you do, people will have something to say about it. We are all different and behave differently to a win or loss, but that doesn't change the fact that we all love our clubs.
Tbh I feel sorry for Robbie because he seems like the only genuine person on the channel. Troopz, DT, Kelechi, Ty & all the other new guests whoever they are (I couldn't give a f*ck tbh) all act ridiculously and make AFTV out to be a joke. No normal person reacts like they do, I genuinely believe they're all an act & I can't stand it
Pretty sure they overreact just for the camera, I saw they did an advert for Paddy power and DT said the same thing that he did during one of the watchalongs and it sounded no different

I'm not a shouter neither but I'm also not a fan of a club that has declined drastically over the last 15 years, moved stadiums to "compete", all while paying the most in country to watch their team đ€·đŸââïž.
And as I side note I've been to games and seen far more cringe worthy stuff when there's no cameras and no money to be made.

I still can't believe there are people in America who like English soccer.
The celebration thing at the end of the video makes little to no sense to comment on. A 90th-minute equalizer to Fulham at the Emirates for Arsenal after a long run of horrible football and results is just pure apathy and obviously, nothing to celebrate wildly for as a club like Arsenal and with their expectations. Especially for how long that club has been struggling to come back to their former glories. For a club like Burnley however i can understand this, but it does not translate over to the big clubs and their fans.

I say this as a fellow Burnley fan, if you were to use any club for money, Burnley is the LAST team you'd use to make money off. I respect that there's a popular Internet figure out there that can rep my team though, even if I didn't like the content.
I can relate with NUFC. We have a few fan produced content (not just fan channels like AFTV) and the core fanbase think they embarass the club. We have a fanbase that claims to not care about what other fans think but we have a good way to showing that. Yes if someone who is reacting like a psycho after the game is showing themselves and the club up however talking about a predicted team or maybe a matchday experience like yours isn't embarassing. Its just older people and a lot of people our age unfortunately out of touch. Tradional media can still exist but fan produced content is here to stay....
I think it goes with every club, you aren't allowed any opinion that isn't the same as everyone else. You aren't allowed to be more famous than someone else. Apprantely it embarasses a multi million pound football club...Boring

I always used to dislike AFTV, especially after being the main people to call for Wenger to be sacked. Robbie is a sound guy who is very genuine, but it seems like everyone else overreacts and doesnât understand how they influence the wider footballing space
Aftv imo is rlly a shitshow every time I watch it not trying to be offensive or anything but I don't rlly enjoy it when iam watching it.

AFTV is the first fan tv in tube. To be honest they give the tips to other fan's channels to move on full day CZcams work not normal 9 to 5 job. Talk spot is radio show I'm not surprised at all they hate on AFTV.
Tbh he literally has no understanding of the history of AFTV, they were showing the same leaves of emotions in the beginning when they werenât getting paid. To ignore that and just say itâs an act makes no sense

Love AFTV and he was doing videos before AFTV was big. The man's business has taken off why should everyone hate the man for that. Let's all bully BT, sky and talksport how dare they make money for talking about football.
The man is an entertainer and he is successful at it, he has no control over Arsenal winning but he will be there supporting his club just like before when he was making nothing from his videos.
I think it all comes down to what the fans expect. No disrespect to Burnley but Arsenal are expected to beat them 9 times out of 10.

I'm an Arsenal fan myself and i think you hit the jackpot when you said something like, when people like DT and Troopz have a meltdown and it gets shown to your mates who are Arsenal fans. I think thats when people like me who watch AFTV, have a problem is because they are not good representatives of the club and they are simply embarrassing. I am angry with the club too, but i know its down to the ownership and management and not the players because ultimately its they who buy these players.
Robbie didn't drop the ball into the net last night, or sign Arsenal up to the ESL. AFTV just happened to document this period as the football club declines as a result of it's owner's greed.

You might say now that I don't know Troopz personally, and you would be right about that, but I've watched Troopz enough and heard enough of him to know that he surely also acts like that when he isn't on camera, so when you say "He's doing it because he's been bought by Barstool Sport to overreact" you technically aren't wrong because they've bought him for the business, yes, but you're wrong if you think he's overreacting just to do it for them.

I agree with everything you said except the meltdown part.
Why would you ranting about burnley look bad on ALL burnley fans? Just like AFTV does not represent all arsenal fans, you don't represent all burnley fans.
With all due respect to Burnley, Arsenal are bigger than Burnley. We are historically the third biggest club in England. People have been so used to the glory days. We've been on a decline since we won our last premier league and the club has not done anything to address the issues. We've been lied to for years, being told that we will become a financial powerhouse and that we would compete with clubs like bayern munich. People kept faith during the decline but at some point fans started reaching their breaking point, which culminated in Wenger's sacking.
During AFTV's post match interviews emotions are running high when we've just lost, hence why some people have meltdowns on camera. Now being passionate does not mean having meltdowns, but some people just can't control the emotions that they've bottled up for so long. Others like you who can control their emotions remain composed, and that's okay as well. Everyone reacts differently. As long as everything being said is protected under free speech and not illegal, it should be allowed.
We should normalise having meltdowns about football. People have meltdowns about FIFA, a video game, for crying out loud!

Matey i'm 35 and iv'e watched AFTV for a few years and I think they are an ok channel, I do hate troops he just makes me cringe and i am happy he left. Also their player rating are madness you cant give some a zero for a bad game, you would need to get sent off and score two own goals to get a zero in my book. But you say people dislike your channel because of age generally older people because they don't like social media or don't understand it, however strangely i think you dislike AFTV because of your age.
