- Today we tour Ethan Schlussler's two story tree house that rotates 360 degrees. Hung in a western larch tree by a custom steel bracket thing, it is the world's first and only 360 rotating tree house.
Hand built by only three people in the woods of North Idaho, it's quite a sight to see! There is a wheel that you turn by hand to spin the tree house and it is a blast. Catch the sunset and the sunrise in this tiny house in the trees.

The most impressive part is that the treehouse can support the weight of the balls it must take to step off an open balcony and climb up onto a slanted roof. Awesome work.
ya, I'd darn sure make a roof hatch! I think a version 2.0 could be even better, so it's lighter weight (corrugated fiberglass panel walls with rails, double pane mylar for full wrap windows, a single gearbox maybe rotate from bottom), and faster to go up into a tree. could be a little market for them.

As a painter, I can relate. You get used to it. But even I admit, I think a bicycle lift is in store. My 2 cents, make it a larger bike, a 2 seater or even possibly build a flat area a bike or other propulsion could effectively work as a lift to help get supplys up to you to finish it. Like a raft type thing with a bike to the side... Place the weights dumbbell closer to the operator and make it adjustable via, idk, sand bags so its good on the go for any weight?

It would be handy for solar panels, which seem necessary. Heck of a time getting groceries up there.

Amazing work and engineering, but all of your gears and chains are exposed to the elements. I can anticipate a lot of rust and corrosion in the future.

If you guys keep bringing content like you have been, I promise you it won't be long before you are making so much money that you'll be able to fund your really crazy projects. I'm talking about the ones in your head that you've thought about, dreamt about but just never thought possible because the amount of money it would take never seemed possible. the tree climbing part really got my heart pumping, i understand that the branches that usually hang from those stubs hold much more weight than a regular person but it's still impressive.
Was i the only one nervous watching them get on and off of the roof!?? With all the thought put into this build they made getting on the roof so risky

Not to be too technical, but gear reductions are multiplied, so you're really looking at around 20:1 gear ratio. Beautiful work!

Actually more than that 3:1 on diff, another 6:1 i think he said on sprocket set 1, then on second sprocket set divide the radiuses probably about 10:1 so 180:1. So each steering wheel spin is 2deg on house. Of course, simplest method is to count the turns of wheell to get one revolution of house
