"For every action there is a reaction". That is absolutely true and most speaker boxes disperse that energy through the box and it degrades the sound, because boxes make for crappy loud speakers. So do wooden floors and desks.......The LS50s have inert cabinets, but that (extra) energy needs to go somewhere. The LS50s sound like crap if they are not absolutely isolated (decoupled) from anything they Will resonate. Sand filled stands work great to absorb the resonated energy from the LS50s, but if the stands aren't rock solid there will be other problems with the driver working against a wobbly cabinet that is essentially rocking back and forth when the driver is pushed out (for every action there is an equal reaction). The LS50s are very sensitive to this and they get muddy if they are not solid.
Thus my question is, are the IsoAcoustic stands rock solid (when you put your finger on top and try to wiggle the speakers and they don't move at all) and do they absorb all the energy that WILL resonate the surface the LS50s are placed on?
I figure out what LS50s need to sound great on a wooden floor, but now I am setting up LS50s for near field desktop speakers and my desk is singing along and it sounds like ass. I just have a suspicion that these stands will wobble, because it's looks like they are acting a a shock absorber. That works great to address the resonance problem (I made a pair of ABS pipe sand filled stands and they worked great for that) but if the stands are sloppy in the slightest, it causes distortion on the LS50s. It actually applies to all speakers, but the LS50s are very finicky, because everything happens from that single source point driver. If the bass gets messed up, it's game over for all frequencies.

It’s not solid. There is a wobble. If I push Yamaha hs8 about half a cm, it will wobble for ‘brrrp’ bit of a second and stop. It’s a wobble but it’s a solid hard wobble.

I wonder what the recommended variant for Yamaha HS7 is.
On one hand I hear recommendations that your speakers should be close to 90% of the rated weight in which case the ISO 130 are best (8.2 kg speaker with 9.0 kg limit for the 130).
Most people seem to recommend the ISO 155 though.
And the IsoAcoustics website with its configurator recommends the ISO 200.
    So I am confuse. :)
I do not plan to use the long legs.

Would elac carina bs243.4 benefit from putting them on aperta? They have a down firing port which is not common among bookshelves. I have them on a wooden console and I want both to raise them a bit and reduce vibrations. Anybody have them with carina?

Hi, Aperta would be perfect for LS50 Wireless 2 in both case, with the loudspeaker lay horizontal or in vertical position.

Here is the issue, quality and finishing are not great from the Chinese factory they are made in. The price is not cheap.
