  • On Friday night, May 12th, 2023, the Manhattan-bound platform of 82nd Street-Jackson Heights subway station, which serves the 7 train on the IRT Flushing Line in Corona, Queens, closed for renovations along with the Manhattan-bound platform at 111th Street station. The Manhattan-bound platforms of both stations recently reopened on Friday, April 19th, 2024. This video will showcase a tour of the Manhattan-bound platform of this station after its renovation, along with some R188 7 train action.

    There’s no elevators?? That sucks. There is gonna be an elevator at 111st though; so glad they’re making one tbh

      Yep, these renovations tend to focus on the station itself (e.g. walls, concrete, roof, etc.) ADA renovations tend to only renovate the section of the station where the elevator would be located.

    that intro is awesome and glad they finished with the Manhattan platform time to rebuilt the other platform i want to ask how come they only closing one side platform and not 2

      Because it would cause problems for people that use those stations
