If you guys still care about the sperm question: Sperm is a collection of cells, which are basically just extra complicated machines made of proteins and carbohidrates. Once released from our testicles, they will use their last strength (24hrs for male? 48 hrs for female? sperm carrying cells, at which point they'll die without energy), pretty much without control. They simply swim forwards, which is why it's good that we release millions of the little shits at once, because a lot will just end up stuck at walls, dead ends or even going backwards. Eventually they reach the egg, then damage the eggs wall enough for a single one to manage to get in, at which point the sperm and the egg's nuclei fuse to complete a new human's DNA, and the egg wall will be renewed in a stronger way to avoid fuckups. beyond that it becomes a fetus.

Something important to add, is that the egg actually discriminates agianst the sperm that reaches it, and will only accept some, how it does so I forget, but being the fastest sperm isn't necesarilly enough.

You can stop by 6 months (it’s not recommended, but you can). However, in a natural setting, kids usually are nursed until 4-6 years old.

He doesn't shove his opinions in people's faces like certain members. Without Jackson, the podcast would be a dumpster fire and would completely stop me from dropping by time to time.

I've rewatched all the Official podcast recently, Jackson at the beginning of the show used to be the thinking man who slaps the best jokes.
Nowadays seems like Jackson just turns off his brain talking so the podcast has a topic to grill him over.
I disagree. You can only talk about something u are knowledgeable for a time before it it gets old and I doubt these guys know a lot of biology so it’s fun to listen to stupid yet fun theories. They could easily search it up but it’s more fun to try and work it out or atleast get close to the solution. While I do agree that hating Jackson has become a thing now, I personally like it since it feels natural and can lead to great bits.
You boys really need to invite jontron on the show. That’d be legendary

I barely remember my biology classes so I might have some things wrong. But sperm does go through a life cycle, which sometimes "malfunctions" and sperm lives longer than it is supposed to and could cause cancer when cells accumulate. Which is why it is said that masturbation can prevent prostate cancer, those "defective" cells are discarded and the risk of cancer is mostly avoided

On the topic of life sentience, I’d argue it’s a spectrum. While brains are how we are aware of our surroundings, organisms don’t need a brain to be aware. Having brains just puts us near the higher end of that spectrum. Pretty much everything in real life isn’t clear cut, it’s almost always a spectrum.
Jellyfish are both sexual and asexual at different times in their life. As medusa (the jellyfish looking phase) they sexually reproduce creating polyps that then attach to the ground (resembling anemones) and asexually produce multiple tiny medusa that grow into adult jellyfish.
Also all animals have sperm and it probably isn’t a coincidence that the closest relative of animals is a single-celled creature that resembles sperm (choanoflagelates). No idea if I spelled that right.
All life comes into the world and dies just the same way Jacksons question was just dumb lol. Difference between us and single celled organisms is that we just grew into something bigger.
