I fished a buzzbait yesterday, but my favorites topwaters float.
I do well with a MB Pop Max.
It spits, pops and walks.
But $$$
I love the buzz bait, great lure. Made fun of a friend about it because of the racket it makes. My Dad loved the mouse he fished mainly night. One summer, he landed 250 bass over about 3 months. I'm sure he missed a lot too. Setting the hook to fast. My favorite lure has always been a 6" sluggo with a number 5 mister twister keeper hook. Thanks for the video! I'm getting pumped for this season!
Are Sluggo's still available ? Used to catch plenty good sized bass on black with chartreuse tail . weightless
I believe so.
I use the Devils Horse all the time in the spring on Beaver, Table Rock and Bull Shoals. All the lakes in eastern Oklahoma, Southern MO and Arkansas. I don't think they see them much, and I can wreck them on it.
I fish Bull Shoals. I use the Horse. Very effective. Agreed on usage. Don't know anybody else who has one.
Buzzbaits - what gear ratio reel are you using and do you typically throw them with braid?
