By far the best video on do it yourself Chicago Style Pizzas. There are plenty of good vids out there, but this one I've watched over a dozen times and my pizzas look great!
I was born in Chicago, down in the city many years ago, I left Chicago at the age of 16 but I still can remember the hotdogs, Italian beef and of course the deep dish pizza. Before I die one day I like to go back and eat those foods from the city, to really remember my childhood memories one good time.
People keep saying it's not Italian pizza and so forth. There's pizza and there's deep dish pizza. This is deep dish pizza. It's in the pizza family but it's not regular pizza obviously. Also, this is the best deep dish pizza assembly video on CZcams and it's helped me immensely. Thank you for posting!
+Adam White American Pizza has never been what you see 'traditional' Italian pizza as demonstrated on the modern cooking shows. American pizza has always been crust, generous amounts of sauce, cheese and other toppings. Oozing cheese, running over the crust, has always been traditionally American. If you want that Italian product, fine, just don't change the American Pie~!
Great demonstration. I've seen some with a crust topping and then other demonstrations have no crust toppings but this seems to be the right way and it looks delicious. The cutting of the pizza sounded like demolition though.
if they are doing it right, sauce should be excellent. along with the crust. also, the way cheese melts in between the dough, and the way the sauce cooks on top, really gives it a unique flavor vice thin. been making these in my home kitchen for years.
there is a place in hoover, Al. called Tortuga's pizza, and there 16" Chicago style pizza pie has 3pounds of cheese, that mother scratcher is bleeping awesome! I've had the pizza in Chicago and Tortuga's is just as good. it think they even ship them to you.
Everyone here crying about their health! I completely agree! This isn't healthy. But any video speaking about pizza is usually not healthy even more the picture before you clicked in the video let you know it was a giant pizza. So my point is.. Get over it! Eating healthy is important, but usually people will eat a slice of this and probably not eat it again for a long time, and half of the people speaking about how much cheese it has and the money it's worth, it's literally the dumbest thing I've heard. A deep dish is usually 20 to 24 dollars! Pretty close to any typical delivery pizza today.
Seeing people malding about Chicago Pizza is satisfying when you're aware that it much more closely matches it s parent recipe from Naples than New York Pizza matches its parent recipe.
Nice tutorial, and delicious looking pizza. However, for me, I will make mine with triple meat. I will layer two meats, cheese, two meats, cheese, and finish off as this tutorial depicts. I will also be sure to eat my pizza with friends and a handy Defibrillator AED Unit ... 😄!
I have been searching how to make a chicago style and this right here is the most appealing to me. Thanks a lot. Been wanting to make this for a long time. Going to follow this recipe and instructions to the T and I will make sure to give credit you guys when they ask me where I learned how to make it.
It is interesting how he said about the con that it takes 30 minutes to cook, as a lot of places that do request more time to make a pizza like this. And it can take longer to cook like he said depending on how many times they have open the door to the oven, and plus they have to have some sort of timer as well, it would be nice if one pizza was ready to go in at the same time as one is ready to come out, but that is not always the case.
omg, i ordered pizza like that years ago and i LOOOOOOVED it! and ever since i couldn't find it, because i didn't know what its called :) lol and i live in Chicago
Region rat here, lol. Still remember my first stuff pizza at Gino's East when I was 17 and was told one piece will fill you up and I called BS till the pizza came and I barely finished one piece, lol.
I believe some do and some don't put an extra layer of dough on before the dance, if I remember from the one video where you see a manger making it in a Lou Malnati's video that he didn't put an extra layer of dough.
I personally don't consider it pizza, but it's still delicious. My biggest regret was only having it on my last day in Chicago. If I ate it the first day, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything else.
@@behavior2836 my opinions have sort of changed. I do consider it a pizza now. It’s just a different interpretation. I can’t believe it’s been eight+ years since I’ve been to Chicago.
I love how so many people are complaining about how much oil is coming out of this. But my question is how many people get garlic sauce to dip their pizza in? That shit is straight oil. Lol

love these old, low production value videos. It makes the food seem classic and delish.

That’s is not deep dish pizza, that is stuffed pizza.
@8:26 that mozzarella volcano is a truly breathtaking sight. My brain's 'WANT!' centre is flashing out of control for that crazy Chicago-style pizza.
It looks perfect if youre on a diet and decide to have a cheat day
This truly is the BEST vid on Chicago style deep dish, I've watched many, and it's 12yrs old. Lord I wish I could have had a slice of this one🔥🙌🏼🔥🙌🏼
Exactly 2 layers of dough..these folks dont know lol..Im from the Southside of Chicago..I know deep dish when I see it
This video is ancient
Seeing this in 2019 and it looks fantastic.
why is everyone complaining about this recipe? it's the best pizza i've ever made! true chicago style
It's a ripoff, that's why. He goes on and on about how it's Full of cheese, rather than a balance o meats, vegetables, and cheese.
sam jose true but it's a good place to start. you can always add extra ingredients if you want. wish he had included a recipe for the dough.
msjustinjackson youtube has hundreds of recipes for 'pizza dough' (yeast, water, flour, salt)
Tyler Pey Because it's not a fucking pizza. It's a ball of cheese and grease.
that's chicago style pizza for you. it tastes good though.

+iw63boomer I completely agree. They are wholly different.
To get Italian pizza, you need to be in Italy. Flour, cheese, meats are all different over there and the pizzas are cooked in proper pizza ovens.
@@vaderd4353 I completely agree. It’s entirely different than anything we usually eat in America! Including Deep Dish.
The best deep dish pizza video I ever seen!!!!!💯
I copied his pizza but added some more toppings it came out hella bomb! Two thumbs up for this guy
Well done, chef. Looks amazing.
that looks amazing!
Good teacher! Thank you ...
thank you... that looks delicious
Very professionally done and looks delish
looks great!
I'd go a little less cheese and double up on the sausage but that's one mean lookin' pie!
I'll eat as is
Great demonstration. I've seen some with a crust topping and then other demonstrations have no crust toppings but this seems to be the right way and it looks delicious. The cutting of the pizza sounded like demolition though.

Fantastico. Manjanito.
Great tutorial
Chicago perfected pizza.

Just came from a trip to Chicago Wednesday. It was great, 1 piece filled me up. I need a dough recipe. Yummy
OOOOH... YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH CHICAGO-STYLE PIZZA WOULD SOUND GOOD RIGHT NOW...
I prefer to eat my pizza pie, rather than listen to it.....
Humor!

@@gerrett108 Well now you're speaking my language.

That is a beautiful thing! Do you deliver to Scottsdale Az?😆

I like the recipe i will make it with less cheese and more toppings.

Delicious deep dish pizza

Giadorno's. Best deep dish pizza in Chicago
Region rat here, lol. Still remember my first stuff pizza at Gino's East when I was 17 and was told one piece will fill you up and I called BS till the pizza came and I barely finished one piece, lol.
Isn't the cheese suppose to go on first for traditional deep dish pizza?
This is not deep dish. Its stuffed pizza
It's Chicago stuffed pizza. And they all make it different
omg..I would love that but way to old to try it....
Pizza pie 😘
Nice
Chicago style all the way.
I believe some do and some don't put an extra layer of dough on before the dance, if I remember from the one video where you see a manger making it in a Lou Malnati's video that he didn't put an extra layer of dough.
the lasagna of pizzas
omgosh i want it.
delicious
I personally don't consider it pizza, but it's still delicious. My biggest regret was only having it on my last day in Chicago. If I ate it the first day, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything else.
I know this was 8 years ago so do you still not consider it pizza? If you don't, why not? It's got everything a pizza needs.
@@behavior2836 my opinions have sort of changed. I do consider it a pizza now. It’s just a different interpretation. I can’t believe it’s been eight+ years since I’ve been to Chicago.
Best pizza in the world!!
Imagine not being here in 2022
OMG! YUMMMMMMMMM
damn been a while since I did this
I love how so many people are complaining about how much oil is coming out of this. But my question is how many people get garlic sauce to dip their pizza in? That shit is straight oil. Lol
Marleah Styleburg I've never done that, and it sounds quite disgusting. Just like this pizza...
Then you are a fucking idiot! Everyone dips in the south in garlic sauce.
True story! I asked for cheese sauce to dip my breadsticks in and they looked at me like I was crazy. Lol
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I don't care about butter, oil, or none of that when it comes to deliciousness. Just give me the pizza and get the hell out the way!😆
DELICIOUS! I'd eat that
You could only ever eat one piece then be full. Looks amazing though.
+tracey cross Correction: "looks amazing dough"
+Hossein Baradaranzad Lola! I wish I'd have thought of that first! 😂
+tracey cross It will come with practice and a lot of hard work.
Lol! I will have to get practicing. 😁
Are you located in Indiana right?
With all that cheese how do you not have a ton of moisture making it watery? I can't get my deep dish quite right. It's always watery.
Not a Chicago style deep dish. That is a Chicago style "Stuffed" pizza. Still a great pie!
Chicago is the best!!!!! Hands down the best food around
Very god!
There are two pizza places in Champaign-Urbana that are so good that people from Chicago travel 130 miles south to get.
Papa Dels and Garcia's.
Garcia's has went downhill but Papa Dels is still the best in town.
"It's pops for pizza or no place at all" and it is not cheap.
Cheese y'all. ;)
