They made such a beautiful couple, so sad that society’s standards at the time where so homophobic. They still were great partners and friends though in the end.

Freddie and Mary relationship shows me that soulmates don’t always have anything to do with sexual orientation. You can love someone with every piece of your soul even in a non traditional romantic way. I think soulmate have a broader meaning than just a lover, almost like a spiritual connections and it’s what they have.

Exactly, I wouldn't mind personally sharing my life with someone even if it was just platonic friendship if we shared that deep connection. I don't feel that it's about gender or sex (I'm not bisexual), though not saying everyone feels the same but for me that deep connection you sometimes can get with a human being has nothing to do with if you want a sexual relationship with them or not, totally irrelevant, sure great if everything fits bit for me that deep friendship and love is the most important and then you can of course have sexual relationships with others outside of that too if you have that need and your gender preferenser is different than the person you love.

    • @1838isfake
      @1838isfake Před 2 lety +9

Labels are for clothes,[gok] calling someone bisexual if they love both men and women isn't the answer, its more complex love and sexuality can be connected, or not, you find a deep connection to a heart or soul, whether the wrapping paper around the parcel is pink or blue has little to do with loving.

Their love story was so beautiful, yet so tragic. He was in love with her however sexually he was never going to feel satisfied with her because she was a woman hence why the secret love affairs with men started. (Although his friends did say that they did make love as a couple ) He was emotionally connected with her and she was the love of his life but he was bisexual, But you know sometimes the heart doesn’t really see whether you’re a girl or a boy which was clearly Mary and Freddie’s situation. He found a good relationship at the end of his life and he loved his boyfriend however it was never going to be like with Mary because he was in love with her. He knew he couldn’t give her the life she deserved, faithfulness, a family etc so he let her go which is a very beautiful and tragic love story in the end. Because you could notice whenever she talks about him and he about her or when they were together that freddie still wanted her in some level, a more deep level but they couldn’t have each other like they wanted. When Freddie was ill he told Mary he wanted her to have everything, his money, his royalties, his house, his cats and that only she knew where his ashes were. When she asked why he said to her 'If things were different you would've been my wife, so you would've got it all anyway.' I truly do believe like Freddie said that they would've got married and they would've had a family if things were different, However it unfortunately couldn't be like that. The best proof of love is letting go and not being selfish and put the other first. Which they did. So in the end it didn’t matter if physically they weren’t together. Like freddie said it was like a marriage. He said that she was a wife to him. They were together in a much deeper way which is very beautiful.

When they met, both were very poor. They tried to sale second hand clothes in market, live in a tiny apartment.
She was with him before they got famous. I don't know how to explain this, but I think Freddie is got separated soul and body. His love belong to her and body belong to the gays. God, that's biggest tragic. And he can barely control his body, using drugs, have fun in gay bar to solve the pressure from his work. If you ask me to accept a happy Freddie without music great works or an unhappy Freddie with wonderful music, I really don't know how to pick one. But for now, I just want him to be happy, had a warm family, own kids, just like any one else. Because I love him so much.

Even read during the last few years of his life, Mary helped take care of him. Although she wasn't able to administer Freddie's treatments, because she was pregnant, she was there to hold his hand. She would spend hours with him when he was bed bound. She would lay next to him and hold his hand and hold him so he wouldn't be alone. Even when his eyesight was failing, Mary would spend hours with him.

“We were closer than anybody else, though we stopped living together after about seven years. Our love affair ended in tears, but a deep bond grew out of it, and that’s something nobody can take away from us. It’s unreachable. People always ask me about my sexuality and all those things, right from the early days, but I couldn’t fall in love with a man the same way as I have with Mary.”
"The only friend I've got is Mary and I don't want anybody else. To me she is my common law wife. To me, it was a marriage. We believe in eachother, that's enough for me. I couldn't fall in love with a man the same way as I have with Mary."
'When I was 23 [Freddie] gave me a big box on Christmas day. Inside was another box, then another and so it went on. It was like one of his playful games.
Eventually I found a lovely jade ring inside the last small box. I looked at it and was speechless. I remember thinking "I don't understand what's going on." It wasn't what I expected at all. So I asked him "Which hand should I put this on?" And he said "Ring finger, left hand" and then he said "because will you marry me?" I was so shocked. It just wasn't what I was expecting at all. I just whispered, "Yes I will"

Why is it ok for a vegan to deny their carnal desires for ethical reasons, but for a man to consider doing so sexually, it's considered repression? Yet we maintain the norm of fidelity for the most part. At least the facade. It's so odd to me to let sexual desire ruin a romance with the live off your life. I don't anyone putting such heavy importance on gender and sex. I can see the idea is "who he rally was" except it's part of v when he was under the influence of a lot of substances and at the height of his alter ego and probably not fit to d o much day to day stuff. Freddie and Mary's love is a testament to the truth that the most important connections we make in our lifetime need not be romantic or sexual. Platonic love can be just as powerful -- and for many people, it is even more so.

The story of how Freddie Mercury loved Mary Austin is a phenomenal love story!
Love in its purest form transcends sexuality and all limitations to the purest sense of the light of a connection to another's soul. Freddie truly loved Mary, wrote this song for her, which makes it even more hauntingly beautiful. - Freddie left her everything in his entire estate- a complicated love story, but a love story extraordinaire! Thank you Freddie Mercury for the gift of your incredible music,- there are millions and millions of us who are so grateful for what your legacy has given to us.

sadly some fans and apparently even some of the Queen band members have not treated Mary very warmly since Freddie passed away. Freddie and Mary is indeed a great but tragic love story. one can only wonder what if life had chosen a different path. Freddie himself said that if things were different - if in another lifetime - the two of them would have been man and wife. Freddie also said that his boyfriends and girlfriends all wondered why they could not replace her and were jealous of her.

Mary fell in love with Freddie. I am sure she adored him to the end. I know in my heart she wished he was her man, her lover, her husband, the father of children. Freddie adored her on his own way, she was the love of his life to the end. They met when they were so young in their lives. They supported each other, they loved each other, they went through good and bad together, that is unconditional love and that is the connection. I used to hate this woman, jealous of her I suppose. But now I get it. It’s that connection, in the good times, bad times, hungry times, homeless times. It’s all about love connection, respect one another, believe in one another. I am fifty years old now, and I am actually pleased true love stories do happen to most.

А песни - это такой надёжный источник информации!!!😴 Кстати, песня Love of my life не посвящена Мэри, а ведь так похоже, что именно ей! А песня It's a hard life посвящена Винни Киршбергеру - бойфренду Фредди из Мюнхена. Да никогда бы никто об этом не догадался, если бы не рассказал Брайан Мэй. Вот и верьте текстам песен! Yes! She did! That's when he and Roger had that Kensington Market store, and also even after they have the contract with Trident but we're barely making anything off the first three albums.
Bohemian Rhapsody was released about a year or so before he and Mary broke up. She continued to live with him until he found her the perfect flat right next door to him or across the street. So they probably live together another four months or so and then she moved out and took two cats.

So beautiful. Even more when you consider that she didn't leave him. She let him go so he could be happy. That's real love. He even wrote this because obviously, he missed her as a woman still. They were made for each other but it couldn't be as lovers. Yet they stayed close till his death. (see "Freddy Mercury, the Untold Story, here on the 'tube).
