These are the Rival RB5 Bag Mitts. I decided to buy these boxing gloves when the owner of Rival Boxing said that these were his favorite boxing gloves. If you know anything about Rival; it is that they have a lot of boxing gloves.
So after debating whether to buy these boxing gloves for bag work; I pulled the trigger and bought them.
I was pleasantly surprised with the RB5 bag mitts. These gloves are more comfortable than they look. The purpose of these gloves is to build up your knuckle, hand, and wrist conditioning. If you have any issues with your hands, knuckles, or wrists, then I would stay away from these gloves.

On this channel, I review boxing, muay thai, and mma gloves, and equipment. I will also be reviewing supplements that I take or have taken. All this is just my personal opinion and recommendations.
    Peace out!

You might want to check out their sizing chart. They seem to have updated the chart recently by including hand circumference. I wouldn’t go by body weight; it’s pointless/useless.

Does the Velcro make any difference? I was thinking about getting the Reyes ones but they have some in Velcro and some with just the elastic part and they don’t look like they Velcro makes much difference based on the pictures

It does make a slight difference as it is tighter on the wrist area.
My main issue with the elastic is that it eventually wears out and becomes loose. You end up losing the stability and tightness in the wrist area.
      Hope that helps

Do you recommend to measure Hand Circumference with or without hand wraps?

I got them in size medium. I did not go with the size chart they have because it is based on weight. Based on their chart I would be xl. I also don’t use them with hand wraps. Hope that helps.

@@Jab_187 How tall are you, and do the mediums fit well? I would be large according to the chart. I am 6 foot with normal sized hands.

@@lachycummings3765 They fit great. I am 5'8. I have big palms with short chubby fingers lol. Length wise from one end on the glove to the other it is approx. 29 cm. Width of the glove (across the palm) it is approx 12.5 cm. Hope that helps.

These are superb gloves but they are designed to be used with wraps.

      @@scottcraig4666 lol....enlighten me.
These gloves are essentially copies of the Everlasting 4307 produced from the late 40's to through the 80's and were derived from the training gloves used from the 1920's on by all professional fighters in training. They all wrapped to train. Even Russ Anber will tell you he designed this glove to be used with wraps.
So tell me.....what am I missing.

You are not supposed to wrap your hand with these. These are designed to perfect technique. The best of the best did not wrap their hands, they literally used leather gardening gloves. The purpose of the leather gloves is to prevent abrasions, skin tears, etc.

You want to use it on a soft bag or maize punching bag to perform proper techniques.
