Didn’t Fujin have an infinite combo? It was F3 special cancel Divine Winds, stance switch, and repeat. It was a crazy trick that canceled the special move for a stance swap and allowed you to do any combo afterwards.
@@MysterixInfinity I tried Jacquie a few times and I like her charging knee a lot as an AB but she has a similar problem I have with Kitana, too many combo strings that almost never serve a purpose.
I'm willing to bet NR changed their minds ALOT while making mk11. Like when they said they wouldn't have any unplayable characters but cyrax and sektor were there. Im also willing to bet they didnt intend on bringing mileena back since they gave kitana some of her attacks. One thing that also gives credit to their indecisiveness is that shang tsung's fatal blow consists of ninjas that are already in the game, it kinda made me think they were gonna release one or two of the old ninjas that would have their own FB but then released mileena and rambo💀 not bad additions ig but ik i would've much rather seen reptile or ermac or at least smoke as one of the dlc's.
Similar to TMNT The Last Ronin, it is customary for ninjas, to take up the mantle/weapon of their fallen comrades. Hence, why the last turtle Ronin, uses his fallen brothers weapons in battle. Also hence, why Kitana uses the weapons of Jade and Mileenia, in combat, after they died.

I’ve enjoyed fighting games since being a kid. Even though Mortal Kombat (1) was the first fighting game I played, Tekken and distant KoF were my jam and I could always feel that the way MK worked was imbalanced. Sure, it’s pretty hard for someone who isn’t close to competition level to be believed - I’m sure whatever I couldn’t deal actually had a counter or break. Still, the game clearly favors an aggressors mixups and exploitation of staggers and so many vulnerabilities. and doesn’t really show you a solid thought out mechanics for where interruptions or mixup choices are going to happen and limits. With Tekken and other fighting games I can reasonably defend against characters I have never seen the first time. MK, nope. Better be read up and have your execution on particular breaks down perfect. With a game like that you have a lot of people who don’t know if their aggression can even be broken, or don’t care if it’s stupid hard compared to their shallow skill in executing it. Other fighting games that do end up having things balanced are coming from issues not even as big as these problems. It’s actually kind of funny that even pro level competitors are susceptible to these broken interactions.
Yes. Because Mortal Kombat choose fun AND power over balance or fairness. Tekken has too much balance and insufficient fun, at times. Things like Multiversus/Smash are fun, but lack power. You cannot combo more destroy your opponent in one go. Think of Mortal Kombat balancing akin to TF2 sniper. He is fun, very strong and balanced in a casual setting, but give that character perfect aim (either 10k hours try-hard or an aiding software) and he becomes morbidly destructive. That is really all. MK/Injustice will always be the most fun, especially because they are not afraid of embracing zoning potential to it’s limits, as opposed to foregoing it altogether. Things like Deadshot and Sindell come to mind as outright perfect characters produced by them. Everything is just right. Same with Injistice Superman (which is a monster compared to very nerfed Multiversus Superman).
@@kingol4801 This may be true now, but wasn't true "back in the days" -- I'm talking MK1-4 -- and I'm also talking casual couch co-op setting where your friend owns the game and has no chill if they know one trivial combo with a specific break. If you don't know what it is, or how to semi-reliably execute it, you lose 99% of the time. Tekken combo's "look" destructive, but in reality if you're getting reckt, you need to make 3 big mistakes (assuming your opponent is never taken into rage). Max combo damage without rage, or some counter hit powerup will never do more than 50% damage and the usual max is around 40%. There are so many trivial get up and movement variations that disrupt combo starters or pickups in Tekken. If you "feel" like you're in one endless combo for your entire HP bar, it was because you were full on predicted those 3 (or more) critical times. The other guy wasn't just mashing buttons or a basic combo that is difficult for a casual try-hard to break. For that matter, the foundations of Tekken are clear: once you know how positioning and movement works to prevent yourself from taking max/punish damage, you can defend just about any character competently.

MK 3, Ultimate 3, 4, Trilogy... They all have been around for years and we got amazing tournaments, and they all got more than 2 characters with infinite combos. Examples - Noob Saibot, Sub-Zero, ScorpioN, Kung Lao, Syrax.... Im just saying that nobody complained. And the characters where using full power , wasn't segmented in styles. So if you wanna frozen clone you don't have the weapon moves... Dumb. But the only thing i can't understand is why they actually changed those basic moves that have been around for decades, like Scorpion's spear etc.

Leatherface- Killer (pre-patch) was a monster. His berserkers stance cancel gives him ridiculous armor and fills up meter very fast.
Alien was also a corner trapping monster.

nah, you can easily prevent infinites with base systems like undizzy. or hitstun/damage decay. or a working combo breaker.
