I have no desire to be in construction but this guy give me motivation to start a concrete company 😂😂
Blessing us with the words or wisdom. Always appreciate what you have to say about the business side of things. Great video as always!
Anthony, you’re videos keep knocking it out of the park 🎉
Keep up the good work buddy .thank you
Just that 2 mil vapor barrier and plumbing foam expansion felt... Lol the best in the west
He’s going over an existing slab. You don’t understand.
@@pcatful ya I do understand lol I get it's really not a huge deal but he acts like he's literally the best concrete guy in world and does everything thing correctly.
Florida had sunken living rooms in some houses. I've see 2 houses with sunken living rooms and part of the house in terrazzo and rest of house in hard wood floors.
The house across the street built in 1978 has a sunken living room.
Javier.....Always Best in the West!
Ever heard the addage "The only concrete that didn't crack is the one that hasn't been poured yet!"? 😂
Dad used to say the "fat comes to the top" when we were concreating Nice Job as always. Best from UK
Not sure about the cling film used as a vapour barrier.
Amazing talent 👍
Here at the jersey shore, when pouring around piles of raised waterfront properties, we use sill gasket foam
I always learn something watching wcc
What were we thinking with those sunk in living rooms? You were ballin if you had one. Anyway, another great video Anthony! Thank you
Your jobsites are well organized and neat and your equipment appears clean and cared for all great signs. I noticed you are using concrete with a lot of water (loose). Dryer (less water) mixes equal more strength for concrete pours besides why pay for water concrete is sold by the yard so the less water the more value you and your clients are getting while reducing the time to start and complete finishing. Great careful execution of a small job your customers are well served by choosing your firm. I did not see any epoxy used on dowel pins they seemed interference fit (driven) I always use larger holes with epoxy to eliminate any risk of future spalling from oxidation of dowels and my building code usually require a cementitious bonding agent for dowel pins. Ray Stormont
I had the sunken living it was popular late 70s around here we framed it up level then put a oak floor on it . Agree timing is a huge deal I did get lucky on that one 2010 I bought in while the market was still down .
You’re are a different level than any other concrete channel that I’ve seen. I’m sure you already are aware that 😂
He just pumps. The sub contractor guys he hires does the real work
In what way is he on a different level...?
Just curious...
He really is bro
Why funny trowel if your just gonna hand trowel right over it
Different level? Yea different levels of concrete pump hose holding😂😂, he shows up on jobs wearing a bikini and crocs and holds the pump hose, idk most owners I know jump in with their guys and get their hands dirty because they are programmed too stay busy and work!✌️
The Best in the West.
From the Irish crew 😊
Will u ever do a video on making concrete houses? Florida concrete houses is getting big
Interesting. I'm with a crew pouring in the Philippines. We use fishing line as guides for level grades.
Down here in Louisiana the drivers won’t let you wash back into the truck like you do they make you have a dump site for residual next to the job that sux
I am currently in the rat race running a large company, and brother your lifestyle is sounding really good right about now.
Do you use any of the helical steel additives in concrete? It replaces rebar or fibers? My engineers said it is used in beams instead of rebar.
Hey I’m curious if plasticizer would help keep the bleed water down in a situation like this? Did you not mix it in for expense reasons or because it wouldn’t help?
Open the windows and hire a couple of big fans to dry the concrete out . Nice to see the reo chaired up .
There wouldn’t be a code to rebar to the existing concrete. You’re just adding a topping slab. So good idea , won’t hurt for any possible movement. But always good to check the code beforehand instead of “l don’t kmow.” Board shorts always. 👍🏼
You do some of the best work. Been watching you for years. Hot here in Dahlonega GA.
i think you need to come to australia i will show you how to do this correctly
I gotta visit
You rule !!!
Viva WCCC
Only weak part are wire used to connect steel rods, instead of plastic heavy duty TIE WRAPS.
We poured outside it's currently 112° phoenix
I love these videos. Best in the West!
you rock brother,
The best in the west for real
Im a flooring installer in Florida and i run into these sunken rooms every once in awhile
"...if it slows down i just hit the beach" 😆
Thanks for the video
What do you think of the schwing P88 pump with the Hatz diesel? We do pool decks, I really like the low RPM pump engines better than the High rev engines but they do max out at 30yds an hour.
Slow as hell but there cheap
Hell ya new video
I work 70 hrs a week most weeks and never had a scheduled day off since 2014 cus I’m dispatched out. That said concrete work would be my side hustle if I had the time to bid the work. It’s hard work and financially rewarding too
Were do I advertise for a skid steer business 😊
Amen 🙏
Not a concrete guy but I enjoy watching hard working people love what they do. There was a time in 2018 I had an opportunity to help out an learn the business a little however missed opportunity slipped away. I’m more on the driving side of things. Delivering the concrete was a fun job
Lotta weight on those floor joists plus live loads but it looks good
He’s going over an existing concrete slab on grade.
That house looks like the late 70's models over in Fountain Valley. They all have sunken living rooms and wet bars. Yeah HB is one of the most desirable places to live. Unfortunately I see signs that it is also being infected with the insanity that is ruining the rest of the state
vans slip ons are the best.. the pro models with the nice insoles. Ya man if we had good mixes around here a ball valve would make sense but our mixes are so jagged and shitty that a swing tube pump with 2.5 " hose is the only way to make it through the day.
Appreciate someone actually knowing what they are talking about ✌️
Clowning dudes for using buggy’s and you out here cutting rebar with bolt cutters. 😆
Woo you got me there all 14 pieces🤩
All concrete cracks, I don’t care who pours it.
Was gonna say the same thing. Only watched to see if there was some new mixture or something that stops it from cracking 😂
Best advice you give on these videos and i really hope leople listen is dont get equipment on payments, make it work and save up and buy the equipment outright, the borrower is slave to the lender, if you buy equipment on payments it puts you behind the 8 ball from the start
Comment for the algorithm!
What’s the number for Javier in San Diego?
Scrape those edges as you go!
Great job man very informative👍 best thing is you mentioned the Lord 🙏 without Jesus without the cross its all vanity. Praying people open there eyes to knowing him born again in Spirit and in truth. Let the flesh die Amen 🙏
Is Javier in San Deigo yet? Or are you in SD?
He’s not there yet ✌️but he is working on the move. But yeah i service SD
Why are you pumping so slow?
Wassup brother, you know I had to drop in😅
u go 2 Cabo
It would be much cheaper to frame the floor if wood flooring is going on top.
Maybe some more beach videos please
The Heading says Concrete that will never crack how much you wanna bet!
People only think they work hard, is because they work to hard, alot of steps they didn't even have to do
I’ve literally filled in dozens of sunken living rooms
Use a real 6mil + vapor barrier. Are you really using painters plastic????
Kitchen wrap.😂😂
13-15 mil is spec's here in Florida. Not .33 mil cling wrap!!
He’s just covering an existing slab. He’s just adding to the existing moisture barrier. There’s no requirement. But it's good for isolation.
Came here to watch about the portable saw mill not really
SEA WATER ohhh LORD have mercy please stay on the beach and stop talking about concrete
I just started my concrete business here in murrieta I had one job so far it went great but I can’t get anymore customers, do you have any recommendations or tips Anthony?
I’m kinda out of of the loop as far a pay to play advertising✌️maybe through a little money at Facebook. Feel something’s out
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete are yiu just completely word of mouth? And thank you 🙏🏼
@@LOUDERzASSASIN social media 💯
Right now everything seems like everything is doing well. Unfortunately after the elections hold onto your ass. Pre- pare now before it's too late.
Anthony, I want to start my own concrete business here in socal too around the Temecula area, would you say now is a good time to start?
It’s a soft market ✌️bro but if you’re willing to work hard you’ll be okay 👍
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete 👍🏽👍🏽 appreciate it
You got some great reliable employees who are always on time never have to pick one up at home depot or ask viewers to pitch in to buy him a car lol.
Victory hater? Lol...😂
best in the west!!
Looks like an old job.
👍🇺🇸🇲🇽
Thats awesome I follow Ryan and Victory channel but the west is always the best
I like the shout out to the Lord🙏
I think what people need to realize is you focus on quality and margins. That's what is important. You don't need to post 4 videos a week because your margins and quality of life is much better
Bingo
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
your all doing it wrong for to long
If the reason for stating that this concrete will not crack is because that the rebar you installed here will stop that from happening, good luck with that. Those rebar @ 2’ will play no role whatsoever in that regard. Zero, nil. You have no idea whatsoever how reinforced concrete works. Stop telling bs.
🤩first off it's number #3 rebar, second rebar supports tensile strength, saying it won't crack is a double entendra✌️because a wood floor is going on top of the concrete. So nobody will ever no if it cracks😆
Concrete business in San Diego is booming. Come on down, plenty of work for everyone.
Brother I love your videos and work. Thank you for the videos. I’m a Local 555 Apprentice Cement Mason here in Portland Oregon & these videos help me a lot. 🤝🫡
