It's rare to find people who fight the same struggles everything you said is facts I took on a 2.2 million dollar contract for a apartment complex I had experience in concrete but far as pricing rebar and how to charge I learned from taking the losses caused I lost on that project but I learned so I didn't lose.

Yessir. Personal success for me is fulfillment and satisfaction. Which becomes my happiness. Small time concrete guy outta Rhode Island and business is booming this year. Only laying down 20yrds a month on eclectic dways and patios but couldn’t be happier. I was a high flying mech engineer building million dollar machines. But a few yrs ago I was burnt. Bought a skiddy one year and a mini x the next. Then went back to my roots (concreting)as the final hoo’rah. Geez, a pump would sure be nice:-)!

Anthony as a retired mason contractor I agree with 95% of what you say and do. Enjoy the beach , the kids , the family because things can change in the blink of an eye and nothing goes back to the way it was. The simplest things in life are the most precious and there is no dollar figure you can put on it. A good afternoon just hanging out enjoying what you like is priceless.! So the only advice I have for you today now that your work day is over and it's about 12 noon isBuy lunch, go to the beach with your girls and surf. Don't flash the "Benjamins" you never know "big brother" may be watching and it's easier to grab the little guy than a big corporation.
So reading between the lines, which is a very good thing to know how to do, you went broke with your old business. And now your starting over with a pumping / concrete business. Ive known a few people who own concrete pumps, none of them make that kind of money. Its a living, and as always some make a better living that others, but none get rich.

Knowing how to do things is one thing but to have true knowledge of the ins and outs to go with it is a whole nother level of wisdom. I'm glad I used you for consulting. It was money well spent. I used Mike Day's Concrete Underground, and it got me a disc bulge in my lower back. Now my machine does the work, and not me. I also make more. I think a lot of these channels on here haven't figured out to work smarter, and not harder / work more efficiently. That's the real message you are trying to portray here.

He considering a move to a new company or trade due to people challenges at the company. Ups & downs. Would you have any recommendations for a young man of 21 with the above experience?
