    During my original install, I tried it with my older charger which was only able to max out at 6 amps, this caused some issues with the programmer and I had to contact SCT for support. They have multiple ways of contacting them, chat, email or phone. I contacted them using all three of these options; and I have to say they have great customer service. The tech helped re-flash my programmer and stayed on the line with me while we ran the tune on the truck.
    This is not a paid endorsement by SCT or Bullydog.

      This scanner is supposed to let you change your tire size, I still have stock wheels/tires on mine. I could never get it to load for those options, but let me try again and see. Might be a day or two before I can try.

    Did you have any issues getting datalog and gauges to work ? Mine is bugging out and nothing reads correctly.

      Hi Colt, I didn't mess with data logging or the gauges too much. I don't recall anything odd though when I did load the gauges though. Their tech support was great, if you reach out to them. Very helpful to me when I had to call.

    We need a bullydog scanner and flashing tunes for the 2019 tundra

      I ordered mine from SCTflash.com. It comes with a handful of preloaded tunes, you can add custom ones as well. Fuel economy, towing, performance and off-road if I remember correctly.
      Tech support was great, had a couple questions and issues that they helped me through, over the phone and through chat and email.
      Be sure to have a good battery charger on hand, had an old charger that caused some issues on my first flash

    Does it allow you to change the gear ratio and tire size? You flipped through the menus so fast I couldn't see.

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před rokem

      It says that you can adjust both of those, although I have never been able to get those menus to load for me.

    Hello, I watched your video and I liked what you did with your truck. I have had problems with my truck since I bought it and I bought it and put new wheels and tires. Is there any way you can help me do what you did with your truck? Thank you very much, I live in Phoenix. Arizona. This is the model of my truck 2016 Toyota Tundra sr5 v8 4x4 thanks

      Hello! I'd be glad to help out if I can. Are you trying to adjust for the tire size change or just to get a little more out of your truck?

      Hi Chris, according to BullyDog that error is for an unsupported vehicle. Not sure if this link will help you.

    Did it improve your mpg?

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi William, I noticed an improvement more on the highway MPG. I can usually hit around 19 consistently, this is using the Performance Tune (91 Octane). Nothing to write home about, but was better than the 17 I was getting prior.

    Can this make changes to tire sizes?

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před rokem

      Hi Jesse, the SCT BDX does have the option to adjust tire size, under the “Vehicle Functions” and then “Special Functions” menus.
      I just tried it on mine, my scanner seemed to be taking a very long time pulling my vehicle info and never loaded. Does appear there is a firmware update for the scanner, so it might get fixed there.
      So to answer your question at this time, yes the scanner can adjust tire size, however I can’t confirm if it’s an option currently on the Tundra tunes.

    Does it help with fuel efficiency?

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před rokem

      Hello Jonvon, I've been using the Performance Tune since this video. I wouldn't say you'll see a huge fuel savings gain, however I can get close to 17 mph with a lot of highway driving. Think my last fill-up I was around 16.7 mpg. I typically don't get on the truck either, but I did notice a slight gain.

    • @BeerLeagueHockey

      No worries! The biggest thing I like about the tune is changing the throttle and transmission to performance mode. Stock it always felt like you're dragging a piano behind you at the lights.

    How is this compared to tow / haul mode?

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před rokem

      Hi Josh, I have never towed with my Tundra, but I have messed with the tow haul on a couple of occasions though. The biggest thing I would have to say is the throttle response. I tuned mine to performance, and performance shift for the trans. Throttle is very crisp, and accelerates well off the line. Probably like tow/haul but with a lighter pedal of that makes sense

    • @Jaimeleon20
      @Jaimeleon20 Před 11 měsíci +1

      Does it shift crisper/ quicker? Or about the same

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před 11 měsíci +2

      @jaimeleon6284 Major difference in shifting on performance mode. The shifts don't hit hard, still smooth, but a VERY noticeable difference. Stock feels like you're dragging a piano behind you leaving the light, not after the tune

    • @Jaimeleon20
      @Jaimeleon20 Před 11 měsíci

      @@BeerLeagueHockey awesome. I have a 07 Tundra and it’s very touchy/ torquey down low, but only thing is the shift from 1-2 and 2-3 i want them to be quicker.
      Did you notice an increase in power?

    • @BeerLeagueHockey
      @BeerLeagueHockey  Před 11 měsíci +2

      @jaimeleon6284 I'm usually not to hard on my truck, but yes I can feel a difference power wise. Generally for me that's around the merging onto the highway and passing. It feels like there is a lot more there when you need it. We use my truck mostly for going camping etc, our latest trip I was averaging 19 mpg on 92. Which amazing for a tundra. I wish I had done it sooner, way more fun to drive
