This Minecraft Bedrock kelp fuel and xp farm is simple and efficient. It allows you to quickly and easily get a lot of dried kelp. Dried kelp can be used as food or used to create dried kelp blocks. Dried kelp blocks are a great source of fuel for furnaces. This farm works on 1.20 and on all platforms of Minecraft Bedrock whether you play on mobile, console, or PC.

IF IT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU, REPLACE THE SLABS ABOVE THE KELP WITH TRAP DOORS AND THEN CONNECT THE TRAP DOORS TO THE TOP REDSTONE TORCH AND THEN IT SHOULD WORK JUST FINE :)

slightly confused by what you mean đ. with like the red torch and replacing đ. itâs not like growing the kelp
@@XclusiveStock basic just replace the 2 slabs with trapdoor, it automatically brings it to the Redstone line and fixes it

@@XclusiveStock yup, exactly where you placed the 2 slabs at on the top, it automatically fixed it for me now once in a while it breaks just gotta replace the sand and plant kelp again and it works a charm

Love the build but I adjusted this replacing the furnaces with composters to make a auto bonemeal farm. Great design and thanks again for the help as I'm a total redstone newbie lol đ

How did you get yours too?
Make sure you water log the slab not the block above the sand, I made this mistake. Also check to see if its growing by leaving it off for awhile while in a full water block. If that doesn't work try breaking the kelp and logging off the game then logging back in and replanting the kelp. Also make sure you have a open gap below the first sand attached to the sticky piston or it wont grow. Hope that helps you out. đ

Did your farm stop working, even if everything seems fine? TRY THIS: If the farm stops working and you have inserted the missing sand as well as replanted the kelp and it's still not working.
Check the bottom blocks in the middle - Right left to the stairs. I had 2 blocks of sand in there, only after I destroyed them, the farm was working again properly

Well apparently Mojang patched the xp glitch and this can only be used as a kelp farm for fuel purposes. Sadly you cannot get a lot of xp using this contraption but still a pretty good kelp farm.
Thank you so much. It works Perfectly. Here you have made only two slots,Instead, I made 8 slots. And I also replaced the smokers with composters to make a bonemeal farm. It works really great. It produces 1800+ bonemeals per hour. Thanks for giving me the solution to make abundance of bonemwal in my world

I have a problem with the clock, it last like 5 sec only, but if I put a delay on the repeater it works but no kelp are duplicated

Works fine for me but you don't get that much xp. Its still useful as a fuel source farm and ig some bonus xp
Can someone please help me Iâm very new to building anything like this I followed the red stone exactly and it wasnât working then I slept and when I sent back it was working then I turned it off and not I canât get it to with either the kelp dose t grow or the sand falls threw when I dreamt to replace the kelp

if after u close and restart the world the kelp doesn't grow check if the sand fell under the sticky pistons, and don't keep the farm going if u leave the game

Did your sand infront of the sticky pistons fall out thats what happened with mine but I got it working again
Same, it doesn't dupe the kelp anymore, only once when turning it on.
There is a space not to be filled under the kelp if the sand falls it will not work until replaced and the space where the sand fell open again. And i dont get xp in bedrock its because the chest connected to the furnace stops us from gathering since its right to the chest.
Place levers on the front of the furnaces and it'll stop the flow of kelp so you can collect it.

Iâm a bit confused why there are hoppers going into chests from the smokers. Isnât the point of this to farm XP? Do you get XP from pulling the dried kelp out of chests?

Is the sand that the sticky pistons move essential, and if so why? My redstone keeps burning out and that's the only deviation I made in my build.
It is essential as it moves the sand and allows the kelp to grow at 1ms
I was under the impression that Zero Tick farms had been broken a few updates back. This is the exact same farm so im wondering what changed to make Zero-Tick work again?
I believe it has something to do with the levers on the furnaces, I used to have a zero tick farm that gave me 100 levels in less than 5 minutes on a realm with my friends, it was self sustaining with kelp being burned and bamboo fueling the furnaces, I wish it still worked

Redstone torch burnout is a thing in java as well as redstone not connecting to the pistons, this farm doesn't work in java I don't think and if anyone has a solution for those things pls help đ

Build big iron farm and trade iron with weapon smith that would give you xp and emeralds

Can this be built underground, or does it have to be on the surface. I've built the machine but for some reason kelp not growing. Everything else seems to be working.
Figured it out thanks to other comments and some investigation. Sand had fallen down under the extended sticky pistons. Farm works as intended now. Using a slightly modified version with the smokers in a 2x2 instead of straight line. Also, replaced one of the smokers with a composter and now have bone meal produced as well.
Making 10 slots and replacing the smoker into composter, I made bonemeal farm, Which works super Fast, producing upto 34-37 stacks per hour. Now there is no shortage of bonemeal in my world :D

Yes, they already patched it, but you can still can a little xp from this.

Have only one kelp feeding 4 smokers + one switchable bone dust maker.
But if this Is Just for Fuel,then lava farm Is way better And easyer option,one just need few dripstones and one bucket of lava to start it

Hey everything worked well but the Iâm having trouble with the hoppers I pointed them to the chest and Iâm not getting nothing all I get is just regular kelp from the smoker
Nvm I got it to work perfectly now, you have to aim the hoppers onto the chest while crouched thatâs the best method, anyways thanks for the vid đ€đœ

For some reason when I switch the lever on the kelp starts growing and braking for about a second or two and then it just stops growing Iâm not sure why

when i connect the redstone the piston don't extend
I just made it on my realm would lag keep it from zero ticking cause Iâm 90% sure I made it right itâs just not growing the kelp fast
Edit: I fixed it, the kelp was being zero ticked but the pistons that break it where moving to fast so I made a 2nd slower clock just for the non sticky pistons and it works great

on the very top of the farm where he uses slabs, replace those with trap doors. Don't replace the redstone that was on top of those slabs, not needed. I just rebuilt this farm again in a new area with no issues same way. If sand keeps breaking you have something wrong. Triple check the redstone!!!

Mine isn't working. I tried using other solutions mentioned by other people and none of them work. I even tried slowing down the redstone clock and that doesn't work

Can confirm still works 5/2/23 my sand blocks fell below extended sticky pistons and had to remove them for it to work again (i tried just placing new sand blocks on top and didnât work)

When I replace the slabs with trap doors and put redstone on top of it and turn on the switch it opens the trap doors and breaks the redstone

@@judah1901 hey hope you got it working by now but for me it doesnt matter if the trap doors open and the redstone breaks! It still works! I built it all in one chunk and added extra sand underneath the top chests to stop the water from spilling out. BTW, you can avoid the sand breaking and water spilling by turning the machine off every time you leave the area!! (It breaks because the chunks reloading causes it to glitch)

What does zero tick mean? By the way I did everything correctly and rewatched the video multiple times and it still doesn't work the kelp keeps breaking if it does work the kelp doesn't go in the hopper and also the kelp doesn't grow quickly
zero tick is something Navynexus discovered years ago. It's a way to trick the game to grow plants instantly. Nex made a lot of different farms but everything got patched except kelp. This is an exact copy of Nex's design.
This design isn't very stable. The top pistons are breaking the kelp the same time it grows, so it fails constantly. Try adding a repeater after the top torch to slow them down.

@@BrianCraftOfficial Hi, I finally managed to get it to work. Basically if the farm was pointing west or east, it didn't work with the front. If instead he pointed north or south he went.

Itâs most likely that you have to put this inside of one chunk. If itâs on a border the entire machine will not function

They never fixed kelp farms. But all the bug fixes made these really unstable. And this guy just copied Nex's old design without improving it, so it's going to break frequently.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU BUILD THIS THAT ITâS IN A CHUNK. IF ITS ON A CORNER OR BETWEEN TWO CHUNKS IT WONT WORK
How do I know if itâs on a chunk or not?
â@@grantgibson3065 a Lil late but on bedrock the only way to know would be to build it and see if it works or make the lowest level map and sorta guess. The lowest Level map has 8 chunks.

Each time I turn it on, the sand just falls under the piston
remove the sand and put it back as before, and make sure you turn off the farm when you are no longer using the farm
