- My Aunt Betty's Cranberry Jello Salad recipe is delicious! You can enjoy this for the holidays, or anytime of year. She usually makes this with sugar free Jello, but you could use sugar free or regular. Just use a small box for this particular recipe and just double the other ingredients if you use a larger box of Jello.
INGREDIENTS
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 small box strawberry or cherry Jell-O (regular or sugar free)
1 cup hot water
1/3 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup toasted chopped pecans
Orange zest (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Boil one cup of water then remove water from heat and add Jell-O packet to mix until it's dissolved.
2. Add in can of whole cranberries, chopped celery and pecans, and if desired, some orange zest.
3. Refrigerate until set - at least a few hours, though I usually refrigerate this over night.
4. Enjoy!

Thank you for taking time today to share this recipe!!
Of course! It was super quick and I recorded most of it last night and only the last part this morning. Just waiting now for everyone to get here for supper! I hope you've had a nice Thanksgiving day!
Glad I found your channel ❤
Thank you! I'm glad you did, too! 😊
Thanks for sharing Aunt Betty's Cranberry Salad Recipe. It's good anytime of the year!!
Yes, I love it! ❤️
I made this, it’s delicious. I don’t like celery so I substituted celery for cut up strawberries 🍓 it was delicious. Thank you for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving! ❤
Oh that sounds like a great idea! I may have to try that sometime myself! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 🦃
Looks delicious
Definitely a great recipe to have on hand!

Not a fan of celery…I’d use an apple instead . I’ve made something very similar before. Used cherry Jello, instead of using only water, used half water, half apple juice. Then the pecans and chopped apple. Terrific!
Using apples instead of celery sounds like a great substitution to get that crunch! I do sometimes use the juice in jello salads, but not this one because for me it’s already quite sweet. 😁
I missed this for Thanksgiving, but I'm definitely going to make this for Christmas dinner! Thank you!
Hi Lisa! This is a good one for Thanksgiving or for Christmas, or any time! I hope you enjoy it!
A large pan of baked dressing with a crispy crust and some jellied cranberry sauce, with a nice slice of honey baked ham (which I prefer over turkey) and a barrel of sweet, iced tea, is a feast in itself. The mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, candy yams, potato salad, and cooked apples are just side dressing for this feast.
I agree with everything you said! That's some good eating! 😋
This looks nice and simple. I'm not crazy about celery, but it'd probably be good without it. Thanks for sharing. I hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
To be honest, I’m not crazy about celery either, but in this particular dish it’s mostly just provide that little bit of crunch. I think it would be just fine without it but just to let you know, it really doesn’t have a celery flavor. 😁 I hope you’ve had a great Thanksgiving!
@@OldTimeKnowledge I might give it a try!
@@HeartFilledHomemaking Just don’t use a lot and chop it really fine, just enough for it to get a little bit of crunch throughout the salad! 😊
I just can't comment what my mind wants to say, would not be fair... nothing about you, or your recipe. I love your recipe and it brings to a place of childhood. If you were ever to give me a present in life, please don't stop what you do... selfish, I think I did talk about what I mentioned about "stirngs" when if came to celery....
Haha you weren’t the only one who made the comment about strings in celery. A few people suggested the same thing, peeling the back of celery to get rid of the strings. I was glad to try out that strategy here. 😁
Hi Sara, I hope you and your family had a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving.
This recipe looked interesting, and something I have never seen before. Do you serve it hot or cold, and what do you serve it with? I would have thought it was going to be a sweet dish with the jelly, (Yes, in Australia it is called jelly!) until you put in the celery. I love your recipes and cooking videos as I get to learn new things.
Regarding the can opener... I purchased a new can opener several years ago, and I had a choice of two. I ended up purchasing the more traditional can opener, because the other one looked just like the one you used, and when I saw it, I couldn't figure out how it would work.
The sad thing is that I don't like my can opener, and wished I bought the strange looking one!!!
God's richest blessings to you, and your family.
Blessings, love and hugs, Gloria 🥰🌻💖
This dish is served cold, just as we serve our regular cranberry sauce here in the USA. Also, it’s a sweet dish and the addition of celery is just to give it a little crunch. 😊
