The thrust levers on that way so the connection to the engines is more simple (the wings are mounted at the top of the fuselage on the DHC-6 twin otter).
Why does it have that panel in the middle attached to the yoke? It’s constantly moving with input so how do they use it in flight? I’m not clued up on planes as much as I’d like so I’m intrigued 👍🏻🍻🤔
This has got to be one of the weirdest cockpits I have ever seen. Yokes that are visibly connected? Center pedestal moving with the yoke? Throttle levers on the over head panel? Congrats twin otter. You are weird (but cool)
The engines are in the overhead mounted wings and the throttle connections were simple to route this way. It’s easy to get used to. This is the updated Viking version. The Old DeHavelland I flew was pretty randomly laid out in the cockpit
Wow those guys nailed a damn near perfect landing in some horrible crosswind conditions
Yeah impressive for sure
Oh, bless those pilots, for keeping calm, as they have a monster machine to keep under control! Bless ALL pilots, for their dedication for this job!
Yes indeed! 👍🏼👍🏼
That thrust lever setup seems crazy, I would hate that.
Yeah but they seemed to handle it very well!
Some other turboprops and helicopters have throttles there too.

@@communistskeleton makes sense. I’d just be concerned with arm fatigue with this given position.
@Baldy Fade yes definitely
Absolutely professional Landing lads
Outstanding, great landing amidst the highly challenging multi tasking of steep descent + buffeting cross winds 👍🏾👍🏾🤛🏾.
Glad you enjoyed it
OUTSTANDING JOB PILOT'S 👏 ❤
Thanks again!👨🏻✈️👨🏻✈️👨🏻✈️😊😊😊
That's the new Twin Otter❤
Outstanding I tip my hat
Glad you liked it
It looked like a flight simulator at the start. That airline has 100% flight record. Hurricane/ typhoon, flight is still listed on time
gotta love the twotter, my fav.
Thats a Twin Otter they are designed for the roughest conditions and harshest environments.
Good point
Wow ❤❤
After that one, you can go ahead and skip leg day this week lol
Cant believe how fast it came to a stop thats so cool....
Sure is 😎😎
Glad everyone is safe 🙏🏻
👍🏼👍🏼😊😊🙏🏻
Well done!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I certainly would not want o be seated aft. Amazing gentlemen, Considering the circumstances. 😮
Pull up terrain!
I respect you guys! And minimize flying as much as possible... 😂😅✈️
Good job 👏
Thank you! Cheers!

Nuts handling
This is Corvette Five, locked on target - prepare for impact.
What was the emergency? I don’t see any signs of an emergency?
Is this Viking DHC6-400 Twin Otter?
Why does it have that panel in the middle attached to the yoke? It’s constantly moving with input so how do they use it in flight? I’m not clued up on planes as much as I’d like so I’m intrigued 👍🏻🍻🤔
That squeaking would drive me insane 😂
Crosswind too. Nice set
Thanks it was fun
Thanks for watching just getting started will post many footage from around the world as I travel. Thanks for subscribing and sharing
Twin Otter !!! The Best Plane!!
Yes 🙌🏼
Gorgeous
Smooth
which aircraft model is it?
Looks like there's lot of headwind
What airplane is this? The flight control looks interesting
I believe an ATR-72 or 42 if my memory serves right 🤔
thats a twin otter
@@Aviation-Travel that is definitely not a ATR, its a twin otter
I do not see an emergency, just a tough crosswind with some turbulence. I have landed Cessna 172's in worse.
Very cool thanks for sharing!!!

I had no idea that was a thrust lever the pilot was holding on to. I thought it was a grab handle to steady himself on while he/she/them landed
/they/that/their/they're
himer heshethey themthemthey 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤡
Clickbait normal crosswind landing not an emergency
😳
@@Aviation-Travel He is right. I can see no emergency except strong winds which every commercial pilot is trained for.
What aircraft is this cuz that cockpit looks wacky as a mug?
twin otter
The passengers:😭 we’re gonna die!!!!
Meanwhile the pilots:🗿🧈
What aircraft is that?
Wszystko na automacie. Wystarczy trzymać się drążka. Ciekawe czy potrafiłbyś wylądować ręcznie?
Looked more like a strong headwind landing ?
What plane is this?
👏👍✈👋
Rough???? That was butter.
I was on it guess it felt tougher than it looked 😂
What was the emergency?
What aircraft is this?
What was the mergency?
No emergency. Just clickbait
Fiji airways❤️
Yes 👍🏼
What is this airplane?
พ่อเก่งมาก
Hasta yo me agarró 😂
Dumb question. What type of aircraft is that? It sure as hell doesn't look like a Boeing or Airbus.
Twin-Otter
@@Aviation-Travel thanks.
Fiji Link
Be interesting to know what the ground speed was.
🤔🤔🤔 great point
Emergency! Crosswind! Fire! Earthquake! Dogs and Cats Living Together! Mass Hysteria!
😂
That isn’t even moderate turbulence. Just a plane getting blown around while making a nice crosswind landing.
I hate flying ughhhh
It’s not that bad ☺️☺️
What’s this plane called
Twin Otter
Which country?
Fiji 🇫🇯
Rough? Nah, buttah
Ha ha ok fair enough
@@Aviation-Travel 🤣
@@believeachieve2847 😂😂
If you think this is rough you have no idea what commercial pilots have to deal with on a day to day basis buddy....
Cool, weird set up but ya, nailed it….
Yeah sure did 👍🏼
Why this is a emerganci landing???
Low fuel bad weather conditions
So that you and me click on it ! I don't the emergency neither.
That’s not turbulence that’s crosswind 🧐🤓
emergency landing become a smooth landing.. truly professional and highly skill pilot
Not an emergency landing tho lol
Esses pilotos não conseguem voar em linha reta. Devem ter bebido todas antes do vôo.
🤔🤔
...rough? 🤔
I was on it deff was rougher than it looks !!!
That runway looks horrible
👍🏼👍🏼
is it ATR aircraft?
yes
@@Aviation-Travel type pls
No. This is twin otter
the captain is on the right seat.... how is that be??
Nope, DH6 twin otter
Does not look fun
It was not 😞
That wasn’t rough
