Puss in boots 1 is still better than alot of modern animated movies
Obviously the first movie isn’t as good as the second. But I feel like people constantly comparing it to Last Wish is unfair. The 2011 movie is still quite good and has a special place in my heart from my childhood.

I'm pretty sure that the reason Antonio Banderas was put on this planet was to make Puss in Boots speak... hilariously and endlessly inventive...
I loved this movie and have always thought it’s underrated.
Fun Fact: Antonio also did the Spanish dubbing for this movie BUT he gave Puss a super thick Spanish accent as opposed to the Mexican accent.
But he still makes an spanish accent in english right? He is spanish in the movie isn't he?
he's from Spain so of course its a Spanish accent
But Salma Hayek is Mexican but she didn't voiced Kitty Softpaws in the Spanish version😢
I think what he meant is that even in the Latino dub he has a spanish accent but that's because he is indeed Spanish, it's just his native accent @@danielferreira3988
I watched this movie sooo many times when I was a kid.
Loved the reaction!! The characters are fun and interesting with a beautiful journey! It's so cool how both "Puss in Boots" movies can stand on their own even if you only watch one of them. Hats off to Dreamworks! Another movie from Dreamworks that I highly recommend you two watch is "Spirit: Stallion of The Cimarron". I can easily say it's one of my favorites with a heart-warming journey and is presented in a unique way. Definitely give it a watch someday! Happy New Years!!

If you go back and watch - it's clear that Humpty wasn't in them...
But I think the point is that Puss has a wild imagination, so he took it a bit too literally, plus with the dramatic evil turnarounds

This movie is severely underrated.
Jack and Jill are siblings, i just thought i should point that out just in case you all didn't notice.

It isn't a bad movie in its own right, but I think we all agree that it doesn't hold a candle to last wish. Every time I watch that one I find something new.
But I will say one thing. The dance between puss and softpaws does foreshadow their move grabbing the map in the last wish.
bruh, I think Jabby just doesn't understand DreamWorks sometimes, first he downplays the Shrek franchise and then he considers Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3 as lesser quality than KFP1, KFP2 is easily the best out of the trilogy and Shrek is easily one of the most influential series of movies in animation, out-selling Prince of Egypt.
And let's not forget the masterpiece that is HTTYD

Honestly I prefer this classical style of 3d animation compared to the cartoonish one from last wish. Mainly because it's consistent with the shrek franchise.
If this movie was done with the last wish quality. Goddamn!! I like this story more that last wish.
