Just learned of the passing of Mr. Chambers last fall. Mr. Chambers did so much to celebrate and preserve the history of rock 'n roll music, the most American form of music. God bless you, Joe Chambers. I learned so much from you. Thank you.

He was amazing, and I appreciate the invitation to visit the museum. I most certainly will plan to tour the facility as soon as I can arrange it. It is great that you are carrying on the tradition and maintaining an important service to the entertainment world.
Goinxnginx, no apologies at all- I so appreciate the kindness and want to respond but I know that it may look odd if I respond without explaining why. Exactly as you described Dad is true, he was a beyond special soul in so many way- and it gives me joy that so much of his knowledge and generous heart live on through video, the museum, and not only his friends that knew him personally but also who never met him physically but knew him through this channel.

These interviews are wonderful, all of them - Wrecking Crew, Nashville session players, etc. It is so clear that these tend to be nice people, in stark contrast to the ego-driven types that so often got the glory. At this later stage of my life, I love hearing the stories of the people who made such a big part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you, Joe.

The film called "The Wrecking Crew" was a very long term labor of love documentary. Essential viewing. Fantastic film, please check it out.
Get the DVD set. More extras than the entire film.

Dad was the most generous, thoughtful, & kind person among friends & strangers alike….he never wavered. He had peace beyond understanding knowing heaven was his home… a true light in this world.

Great interview, Joe! For people that haven't seen it, The Wrecking Crew documentary that Tommy Tedesco's son did was very entertaining. Those musicians were tight knit & always first call.

@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum I'll have to say again; what a loss losing Joe has been. What he brought to the table was priceless. Ed King, Duane Eddy, Chet, so many other serious major contributors that wouldn't have had a voice, and a history without Joe's classic interview style.
And of course the loss this week of Gary Rossington also strikes a note.
Wonder if they've had a chance to jam together yet. ;)
Popo, Dad had the most generous soul- and loved to shine light on others accomplishment.
He truly loved music & felt blessed to work with and be friends with many of these musicians.
Songwriting, producing, opening a chain of guitar stores, creating the Musicians Hall of Fame were things he didn’t expect to do…he definitely didn’t think he would be considered a interviewer on CZcams….but again, he considered it a lot of fun & most of all , he was so thankful this platform gave likeminded people a place to find this important history.
I hope they are jammin too.

I was there on Thursday!! My mind was blown. Such a beautiful well arranged museum. (My favourite exhibit is the Hendrix). I was blown away by the gear. You have all the multi track machines that I’ve worked with. (Starting with the 8tk).
I asked for you, the nice young lady said “you would probably be in later”.
I’m sorry I missed you and congrats on your museum.
P.s. I also got great advice on where to by a Gibson es335 from someone in your staff.

Wonderful interview Joe, such fantastic stories from a bygone age unfortunately. Don's still with us and he's 85 now. I'm sure you'll remember that sad story of Carol Kaye (bassist on Good Vibrations) returning to the studio where she'd played on so many hit records only to encounter youngsters who didn't even know who she was. Shameful.

I did not know of him before. Amazing musician that was part of something that we can only imagine.
Jon, I didn't know anything about Don Randi until I watched the documentary "The Wrecking Crew" by Denny Tedesco. That opened my mind up to hearing about the studio musicians like Don who were doing most of the sessions in L.A. for the sixties into the seventies. If you get a chance to see this documentary, you'll probably really like it. Before hearing of these musicians, when I heard a song I just focused on the singer. Now I concentrate on the instrumentals. It has made me appreciate the music even more as I think of the musicians backing the artists.
