I love this scene, such a great pay-off and fun call-back to the earlier movies, especially after the rather quiet and contemplative ending to this one. It's somewhat reassuring too that our final memory of 10 is Kramer and Hoffman bossing it with their custom wit and malevolence, again especially after the events of the movie that are more emotionally intense and nervewracking. I thought Amanda and Hoffman are almost portrayed as part of Kramer's family in this, like in the way they have his back

1:09 I love the little horns that play when Hoffman is shown here that always played whenever he did something crazy and then they ruined it by putting it in jigsaw by giving them to Logan Nelson I know it’s just music but I consider the zepps 4-7 to all be Hoffmans this one could also be his too but idk
Honestly I think the trap was an execution It started without rules or such, which jigsaw always gives so they all have an equal chance, but this time I think John just got a bit angry and decided to give the man an ultimate “fuck you” for fucking with him.
They always played hot potato with the morality system in place. Later when they introduced Amanda, Hoffman and Gordon as his successors it became clear that not every trap was John’s doing. So it worked mostly thanks to some nice retcons. But John killed before. Detective Sing was murdered in cold blood. In Saw 2 he just crippled the police officers a little. But this trap is just a murder machine without an exit. So the second time John actually kills in cold blood.
Not true, could be a trap that starts, then he is read the rules-- and after like every 15 minutes or so, it could reactivate remotely, cut a bit more, until he either fails his mission or completes a new one set in the Gas House from Saw II. We never even saw blood, so it probably stopped just as it made contact with his skin. If John had planned to off him, then he wouldn't say something cryptic like "that's the last thing you have to worry about." More than likely, dudes wife, girlfriend, kids or someone significant to him is set up down the hall and he has to play a game. There's nine of these flicks (Spiral don't count) so it's pretty expected by this point lol As for Sing, just because John was there doesn't mean he set up the booby traps (that's more of an Amanda or Hoffman type of precaution) I doubt John even knew how bad it was until he read it in the newspapers.
And personally, i hope they pick up here in Saw XI and place it right before Saw II-- Hoffman around that point started screwing around with John's traps and making them unwinnable. So like, this test happens-- John and Amanda use info provided by Hoffman to plan Saw II Gas House, later while recovering from Eric Matthews beating, John notices something that tips him off to Hoffmans tampering. Clearly Hoffman is a lunatic and in this scene John doesn't quite see it yet. But after the Eric Matthews beat down, it was all a quick decline due to the cancer-- John never fully bounced back. So, he begins to scheme against Hoffman under his suspicions and then straight up catches him tampering with the Rack in Saw III. Just a thought
@@mikeroth5039john was a straight up murderer in saw 1. He gave 2 impossible games to mark and paul. He locked Adam in the bathroom even though he won his game. The guy in the drill chair didnt seem to have a chance to win his own game. He pulled out a hidden blade and straight up slit Tapps throat (he survived but thats attempted murder right there) and he led Sing to a shotgun trap (the equivalent of putting a claymore in call of duty down and getting a kill). He also forced Amanda and Zepp to kill someone to survive their own games.
@jodlad8343 Both Mark and Paul's tests SEEMED impossible-- like the glass box trap from Saw Ii where Addisons' arms got stuck; but if you pay close attention, that trap alone wasnt truly a trap-- it was unlocked from the start. I could easily see there being a work around to Paul or Mark's game being easier if they found a short cut-- to which in John's tests there would of been other avenues to win. Amanda's reverse bear trap seemingly is only won by the killing of her cell mate, and she had only sixty seconds to find the key; but if it's John's game (which we see him set up in flashbacks) then chances are, there was another key, easier key had she tried to look around. Regardless, she did win. The Bathroom trap is a great example; there was many different ways that could've played out. Yes, Zepp was a lunatic, but John knew of Tapp by that point and Hoffman was on the same Jigsaw Task Force with him to tip him off. Hell, for all we know, Hoffman could've been doing more than leaving pen lights around to steer Detective Tapp into discovering Zepp. So Tapp was essentially John's insurance that Dr. Gordon's wife and daughter weren't in any real (physical) danger. As for Tapp getting his throat slit, that's a hard one to debate and I honestly hate that scene as a whole-- maybe it was accidental, obviously the writers hadn't planned on the direction they were going yet. Sings shotgun trip wire could've been set up by Hoffman or Amanda-- I have a hunch John hopped the booby trap not fully knowing the damage it would cause. As for Adam, jury's still out on him; It's either 1 of 2 fates for Adam, especially given Dr. Gordon survived; Gordon would've definitely returned to Adam. 1.) Amanda's attack really did kill Adam. Probably not likely given John even said in Saw III he had to clean her messes which is further suggestion that Lawrence Gordon could've tended to Adams injuries. 2.) Adams alive. Doubt he would've become another apprentice. Jeff in the drill chair; how do we know he didn't fail a test leading up to this encounter? How do we know that Jeff was intended to even die? I mean, John by that point had so many connections, especially through Hoffman about Tapp. When John tells Jeff he is a test for something much greater than himself, he was probably more than likely meaning he is another form of insurance. You really believe Tapp and Sing got the drop on John that easy. That the video they discovered his location wasn't also planned out. I believe for whatever reason, John was trying to lure the detectives there, but it backfired because they arrived sooner than expected, he used Jeff as his diversion for escape and then things went to crap fast. But the entire way they found him was clearly planned.
Hoffman was looking at Henry all like "haha look at this guy, angered the jigsaw of all people, and trapped in this place of all places, couldn't be me."
"Out of all the men to cheat, You picked John Kramer?" Hell yeah Hoffman

Hoffman’s smirk at the end is one of the earliest signs of his sadistic pleasure in torturing victims
Who knew he would eventually end up in the same bathroom. At least he got some nice company with him
A third into the movie when John said "Detective I requiere something-something" I already knew Hoffman was going to show up, and yet I got super exited when it happened
Same bro, the workers at the cinema came in and said that there will be an after credits scene, then I was 100% sure it was gonna be Hoffman scene, but I still jumped off my seat when it happened!
Right I got excited to see Hoffman as well it’s crazy because I HATED Hoffman in the OG franchise
@@rowlaanbennett7296 I keep hearing everyone say how surprised they were to be happy about Hoffman's return, I honestly think he has a way of growing on you. I also think that getting to see him, john and Amanda working together in saw 11 is gonna be amazing
Hoffman’s line “out of all the men to cheat, you picked John Kramer?” was used in the trailer. When I heard Hoffman’a voice in the trailer I knew he would appear in the film
@@ivanivez7456 strangely i don't remember hearing but it was awesome surprise for me either way lol
That they played Hoffman’s version of Hello Zepp in this scene is everything to me.
same❤️
Agreed!!
Huh? I don’t understand
@@Lapusso650 In the later Saw movies with Hoffman as the main Jigsaw guy, the theme “Hello Zepp” has slightly different instrumentation. In Hoffman's return here, they use that same change in instruments to represent his role in the scene.
You hear the variation more clearly in Hello Dr Gordon from Saw 3d towards the end
This ending is overall way better than the last worst one we got and I'm so happy that Hoffman is back the last time we saw him was in saw 3d

0:30-0:36 I screamed out of excitement. I was the entire film waiting to see Hoffman again and lost my hope, but then they gave us this scene, I was soo happy and excited
Hoffman's return was amazing and surprised.
Hearing John Kramer saying that death should be the last thing you should be worried about is truly terrifying
The fact that Hoffman has already visited this bathroom means he knew damn well what was gonna happen to him at the end of Saw 3D.
*That means he could have hidden a lockpick under the floortiles.*

Hoffman and John are the GOATs of this franchise.
I loved seeing Hoffman at the end !
Yeah I don't get what's awesome about Hoffman I think he's extremely boring I think the actor that plays in doesn't help at all cuz he's got kind of an unlikable face to me at least. You would never say anything in that showed you had any charisma the line he has I think it's the coolest thing he said in the whole series LOL and I think the series really went down this s*** or when it revolves around him and then he just kept getting away seeming like he was smarter than John Kramer himself. I didn't really like that but who knows me they could fix some of those problems like they did with Amanda I didn't like her either but saw 10 changed that

Because saw x was filmed in 2023,they couldn't edit in henry's corpse since it would look off, besides he wont die,he faked his scars and john gives him real ones.
HOFFMAN MUST RETURN IN SAW XI
Hoffman:1st line in the trailer
Also Hoffman: Only scene in the post credits😂
I didn't mind because I like Hoffman but I don't need him but I feel bad for the people that watched specifically for him
I cannot tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this post credit seem to show up here on CZcams for a minute there I thought I was gonna have to wait until the movie’s cam setting to change from that setting to high definition but I’m glad it’s finally here now I can tell that my wait was definitely worth it
That slight snarky twitch Hoffman did when he said “epic bad luck” gets me smiling for unknown reasons 😂
EPIC BAD LUCK🗣️🗣️🗣️💀 truly one of the lines of all time
This morbius shit is getting old
The way i screamed in the theater when john said “thank you detective” I LOST IT
And this is the same bathroom where Hoffman gets locked in at the end of saw 3D
Hoffman is my favourite jigsaw. Hopefully we get one more that focused on him. His character has similarities to light yagami and dexter Morgan. They’re detectives who’s trying to help other detectives to catch them😂
My jaw dropped when Hoffman appeared
Costas Mandylor returned for only a minute of screen time and it was fantastic
Lol Hoffman's in that bathroom not knowing that in two or three years, he'll be the one trapped there and left for death.
they could make Saw XI and use this scene to explain that he knew this place already and he knows how to get out of the bathroom .
@@luisvillalobos6373The bathroom is under Hoffman's house. The house in the gas house is his own house. You can see it in the fifth movie. Saw 2 and Saw 5 are the same house.
@luisvillalobos6373 ofc he did know how to escape the bathroom, why you think he tried to reach the saw when he realised where he were? Tbh in the deep of my hearth hope they kinda reveal hoffman stills alive, however, lets be real it is almost imposible, gordon's job was well done
The satisfaction in Hoffmann eyes is something undescriptable!
It made me so happy to see this in theaters. I've always wanted to see a SAW film on the big screen but never had a chance till this one dropped. Getting to hear Hello Zepp in Imax, as well as see John, Hoffman and Amanda again was a dream come true.
Whaaaat?!! And 4k?! This was the best and most exciting part for me!!😍 THANK YOU!
i am so pissed that i left the theater before this happened, but grateful someone put it here lol
Same here!
The machine makes the same sound that we hear when the Twisted Pictures logo appears in the opening for every Saw movie!
I just noticed that
When Hoffman came on screen I literally screamed for joy in the theatre!
It's so amazing John Kramer and Detectiv Marc Hoffman best 4ever!!
"Epic Bad Luck!"
I love how the music intensifies when Detective Mark Hoffman appears on screen HELL YEAH!!!
Hoffman: "Out of all the men to cheat, you pick John Kramer? I mean, I call that epic bad luck."
Seriously Tobin Bell is old after all these years and it's hard for him and the team to keep writing for him to come back for this franchise, BUT I REALLY LOVE SAW SERIES AND I HOPE THEY CAN GO ON!! ❤❤❤
i really hope he acts in a couple of movies before he dies in real life
Tobin is old but is still an incredible actor and that voice is amazing. He easily has one more Saw movie left in him to finish this story.
Hoffmann’s hair looks pretty stylish
Something to mention is that between Saw 3D and this film, Costas Mandylor had a hair transplant done. Nothing to shame or anything, but even though he styles it differently he does look a bit different from it as a result... not to mention some age. Dude still looks like a handsome devil though.
Hoffmans line is probably my favourite saw quote lol so good.
I thought Amanda and Hoffman are almost portrayed as part of Kramer's family in this, like in the way they have his back
Seeing Hoffman makes me happy
The greatest music to be put on film, ever!!!
I must agree. It's not just the music it's every aspect of the cinematography. The only thing that hits like it in my opinion is cruel intentions and I still think Saw is way way better
John Kramer and Detective Hoffman = Epic Duo.
First movie ive been too since 2018... i forgot to sit through the credits! Glad I finally saw this!!!

I LOVE COSTAS AND LITERALLY SCREAMED IN THE THEATER BC I WAS SO HAPPY THEY BROUGHT HIM BACK ❤❤❤
1:20 This part reminds me of when this exact part of the song was playing at saw 6 when Hoffman screamed at this exact part of the song.
I had a HUGE crash on Hoffman since his first appearance in the series, so seeing him years later made my heart happy.
I loved the way Coastas Manylor delivered Epic Bad Luck made it sound amazing
1:09 I love the little horns that play when Hoffman is shown here that always played whenever he did something crazy and then they ruined it by putting it in jigsaw by giving them to Logan Nelson I know it’s just music but I consider the zepps 4-7 to all be Hoffmans this one could also be his too but idk
Iam never bored with this scene cause " this is epic scene"
Honestly I think the trap was an execution
It started without rules or such, which jigsaw always gives so they all have an equal chance, but this time I think John just got a bit angry and decided to give the man an ultimate “fuck you” for fucking with him.
"That's the last thing you should be worried about". Mb he is just getting a scur - as he lied before.
If John had planned to off him, then he wouldn't say something cryptic like "that's the last thing you have to worry about."
More than likely, dudes wife, girlfriend, kids or someone significant to him is set up down the hall and he has to play a game.
There's nine of these flicks (Spiral don't count) so it's pretty expected by this point lol
As for Sing, just because John was there doesn't mean he set up the booby traps (that's more of an Amanda or Hoffman type of precaution)
I doubt John even knew how bad it was until he read it in the newspapers.
As for Adam, jury's still out on him;
It's either 1 of 2 fates for Adam, especially given Dr.
That Hoffman reveal had me jumping to the roof, so glad I didn't know
That was the best post credit scene ever
