19.5 foot bow rider here. Single axle trailer my fenders are usually about two or three inches above water line when loading it’s perfect.

I have figured out that throwing an engine into reverse is like hitting the ESC key on the computer - goes back one, but doesn't fix the stuff you've already messed up!
1st boat - nice rig but no clue how to trailer that rig. Agree no need to be in water when retrieving. Not safe.
Boy, you can sure tell the pros from the amateurs. The pros put their boats on the trailers without so much of a fuss while the amateurs try to put their boats on with screaming, name calling, belittling comments and all sorts of mayhem, trailer is crooked, currents fighting me, the list goes on and on. That’s why it’s so entertaining!

I've launched and retrieved dozens of boats and have never gotten into the water. I don't know why some people do it.

What these boaters do not realize is that they need a small amount of friction on the bunks to hold the hull in the right position. How deep to back the trailer down also depends on the grade of the ramp a shallow ramp deeper a step ramp it needs to be a shallow depth. 🤯🛫
2 way radios... truck driver and boat driver... the simplest solution is communication. women at the wheel need practice.. if they cant back up in a field DO NOT let them back ur 100Thou rig n boat in at the public docks... FFS!!
