Dalian Atkinson. Will always be a Villa Legend ❤
Deano & Dalian was the electric duo up top in my earliest years supporting Villa. So many magical memories in that era and I will always be grateful for that. So tragic the way he passed away. May he RIP and a true Villa legend. Great episode and his brother comes across as a genuinely lovely bloke. God bless the Atkinson family. UTV!
Another good interview claret and blue. Dalian will always be a villa legend.
The hours I spent running about the playground pretending to be Dalian Atkinson.
What a talent, what a man. Sadly missed. RIP Dalian. UTV.
Thanks to Mat and Paul for a great interview. Paul seems like a great bloke.
Dalian was a fantastic player for us. If he'd stayed fit for all of the 92/93 season we might have won the league.
It's impossible to imagine the grief and trauma his family have gone through since his death. I hope time is healing to some extent, and that the foundation is a big success.
What a lovely, touching podcast, hearing about our legend Dalian, from someone really close to him. What a great player who gave us some wonderful memories.
RIP Dalian #heits
What a great man. Met him once as a kid at villa park and asked him and Alan McInally if they were famous. Dad told me what a Brilliant player he was for us. RIP
In terms of talent, he was the best striker at Villa I have ever seen. He was especially good against the top teams.
Dalian and Dean Saunders were up there when it comes to the top strike forces in the Premier leagues history. My memories of that win over Utd were of the parade around the Villa fans at Wembley with his big beaming smile on his face.Fantastic day. The other thing that makes me smile about that day at Wembley in 1994 was the transport used by Villa to ferry us all down to London, we didn’t get luxury coaches but an enormous line of WM Travel double decker buses whip were not really designed for the near 4 hour journey lol.
Great interview of another Villa Legend. Good on ya!
Thanks for your great comments. Dalian had his best times at the club especially with the love he felt from the fans. Awesome days 🔥🔥
Fantastic interview. Loved getting a glimpse into the Dalian the brother from Paul. Dalian will always be one of my favourite players as the Ron Atkinson team was my first Villa team and i always get such nostalgia when I see them
Loved Dalian.
Dalian will always be in my heart and mind brought me some great times as a Villa fan, and probably one of the best goals I've seen , God bless him and his family ❤ #UTV
Some special players in 90's Dalian was one of me favourites, had the Atkinson shirt, got lost during eviction 😡 I put the bench pic on my Twitter feed, over 500 likes, our fans loved him
R I P Dalian 💜💜💜
Thank you arsenal 😊
my mate was a ipswitch fan and i remember him telling me about his hatrick v boro i think on his home debut think he was 18,,,, the first is brilliant,, second is a chuckle enducing wow,,, the third a tap in with venom,,, so sad that he is not with us anymore
Great player Dalian 🌂
What a gent and a great piece! Being at Wembley with my best pal who was a united fan will always be one of my favourite memories! Running the show as well Mr Kendrick 🎉.
I love this interview. Dalian was one of my favourite players.
We were only talking this weekend me and a mate and agreed with comparing Dailan with Colly and saying we'd take Dalian over Stan all day long.
Really miss Dalian.
I'm not from the Midlands, Dalian drew me to be an Aston Villa fan
Dalian and that striped 'MULLER' shirt!
Wow. Close your eyes and the voice could be Dalians - minus the slight stutter Big D had. Great player who always scored great goals and had he not got injured in 93 who knows we might have still won the league.
