- One week in the making and years in the planning its finally here! Adam Cartwright certainly had some thought-provoking, heart-wrenching, and downright hilarious lines over the years! This video is just the tip of the iceberg of those lines. Enjoy!

No one could deliver a line like Pernell Roberts.. His clever, deft phrasing is brilliantly done. David Dortort, the producer was right when he said years later, that there was nobody better than Roberts as an actor, and he didn't appreciate him as he should. Pernell was a remarkable human being..
Hollywood coud take a lesson.

That is "A Knight to Remember" which is one of the very best Adam episodes there is in my opinion and the funniest! If you like that part, you need to watch the whole thing! You will love it!

Love this beyond words! In case someone is collecting more, I always do enjoy the more subtle, but really funny encounter with Marc Twain asking him for a retraction of that "little contribution to literature", the article about a wild man on the Ponderosa, that made people chase a herd of cows with four of them ending up in a duck pond - he says it so softly, but at the same time so sardonically - it`s a little masterpiece of acting. And you just feel the" knock out" coming ...

I saw one a few years ago that was done with the song "Your Kiss Is On My List", but I can't say I've ever seen one done like this one is, without music. I can do one eventually, I'm sure!

I tell you he was a great actor and his prior and post Bonanza proves it. But some of the character actors he played off of were pretty damned good too.

There is an episode where Little Joe needs an antidote or medicine or he will die. Outlaws are keeping it from him. When Adam finally overpowers them and gets the medicine he coldly states, " If this doesn't save my brothers life I'm going to kill you." . Its the coldest more terrifying line I ever heard. Do you know what episode that is? Do you have it?

Enjoyed very much. I have to admit that it isn't exactly the lines, so much as the expressions. Pernell Roberts was akin to Steve McQueen in that respect.

I don't upload episodes, sorry. If you have the Insp channel, they might still be airing the lost episodes. Also, the DVD's have started being released again so hopefully we'll be able to get that episode and many other greats in DVD soon!
