  • Tips and Instructions are only to be used for the Flight Simulator on your PC! It should go without saying that I am only flying a PC Simulator, not a real aircraft. My videos therefore are not intended as professional instruction! And my videos do not show SOP ( Standard Operating Procedure) of any distinct airline.
    Please leave a thumbs up if you liked the video. Cheers!

    Quick question: I thought the blue items on the ECL are overridden by a previous selection. Should we not use flaps 20 for landing in this case?

    Damn. I came here hoping you started flying in VR :D

      Not yet. Waiting for available systems to get to a decent performance level

      +Nikolay Klimchuk ... the 777 is definitely an amazing piece of machinery.

    EFAV1 are harder at very light weights as opposed heavy weights as things happen much faster. Not slow motion as in heavy.

      Thank you David. I must admit I really enjoyed that. The 777 is a wonderful aircraft 👍🏻

      I just bought the 300 because BA use the 77W BA do a nice short route also with the 77W EGLL - EHAM so very much looking forward to that. You always make it all look so easy, but thats how pilots really earn their money. Not sipping coffee-tea on a day to day flight :)

    Great and very instructive video as usual! Did you consider runway length (+stopway/clearway) to calculate the max TOW you would want to have? Or field length wasn't taken into consideration?

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety

      +SwitzerlandFromAbove .. AFAIK, there is no performance calculation tool for the 777-300 available for the PC flighsims. If there is, please let me know. So in my case here, the limitation was not field length, but more an obstacle limitation. What you didn't see in this video was an RTO with the same Grossweight and right at V1. The aircraft came to a stop with about 500 meters margin to the end of the runway. Regards

      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety

      +Bruno_pt99 .. and does it give you stop-margin or tell you the maximum performance climb weight?

    • @TWCHHK
      @TWCHHK Před 7 lety

      Great! Thanks for letting me know. I've not been flying in the sim for quite some time, so I don't have any idea if a tool, which allows to calculate that, exists. Anyways, keep up the great work! Always a pleasure to watch! Cheers

    great video !! can you tell me how you get these ground wind effects at the end of the video?

      +Marcellino Lucchi .. Thank you. If I remember correctly that came with the airport addon.

    Is there no Speedlimit (250kts) in this case?

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety +7

      Hi Horst. No. This is an emergency where pilots tell ATC what they need. And with such big weights, the minimum clean speed is above 250 kts. Regards

    15:30 why should we always put transponder to TA mode when having an engine failure?

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 4 lety +3

      Because a possible RA (Resolution Advisory) can’t be flown with only one engine operative.

    Ich war vor einen Monat bei meinen Freund im A320 Simulator und er konnte noch keinen ENG FAIL programmieren deshalb hat er meine Engine bei V1 off gecuttet. Ich habe sofort TOGA aktiviert als ich den Ton gehört hab, aber ich hab das gear nicht reinlassen da ich keinen positiven climb hatte und hab dann keinen Auftrieb gehabt (normale-langsame climbrate) und bin schlussendlich gestürzt ._.

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety

      +Klefky .. wichtig ist, dass man ebenfalls genug Ruder-Input gibt damit das Flugzeug möglichst wenig schiebt (yaw). Dann sollte sich eine positive Climbrate ergeben und man kann das Fahrwerk einfahren. Danach sollte das Flugzeug mit 700-1000 fpm steigen.

    • @klefky6048
      @klefky6048 Před 7 lety

      Blackbox711 Welchen Ruder Input? Und übrigens mein Freund hat gesagt dass selbst wenn es keine positive rate gibt, das gear einfährt. Das stimmt nicht oder?

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety

      +Klefky .. Wenn auf einer Seite das Triebwerk ausfällt, muss man mit der Ruderpedale das Drehmoment ausgleichen, welches durch den asymmetrischen Schub entsteht. Ansonsten entsteht eine deutliche Widerstandserhöhung und das Flugzeug schafft keinen Steigflug mehr. Das Fahrwerk wird definitiv erst eingefahren wenn eine positive Steigrate anliegt.

    Why not use Topcat for calculations?

    • @Blackbox711
      @Blackbox711  Před 7 lety

      +Chris H .. I do not think TopCat does a good job when it comes to abnormal calculations. So I do not see a point to use such a tool in this case. Regards

      +Flightdeck Magazin .. Hi. That was last saturday if I remember correctly. Yesterday I flew the 747-400F from Munich to Manchester. The video from that flight will be published next week. Have a great weekend!
