@@DenverGamerThis is the best Tutorial video I've ever followed. Instructions are clear your mic is good the video quality is brilliant. No broken links no annoying loud crappy intro your talking clearly and not going too fast to the point I get lost. Just no bullshit and I got it all up and working and now I'm able to play Original Xbox games online again using Xlink Kai. Absolute Lifesaver.

Holy smokes this saved my bacon. I had mine all set up, but like a yar ago there was an update and all of my setting got messed up. I followed your guide and put all of the bios and stuff in an obviously better location, and it works great again! Thank you sir

Xemu's been getting good updates here lately, and for the games that aren't on the backwards compatibility list for Series X, this emulator is awesome if you don't have the original hardware anymore.
It's so cool to read these comments that people still wanna go back and play the games i used to play whe i had my original xbox. this video is very chill.

Holy crap it actually works. I don't think you understand just how much difficulty I have had setting this up for years, literally years likely 8 or so years. I'll provide context. So I been trying to play Conkers Live and Reloaded on my PC for years, originally it was just not compatible with XEMU yet, I would constantly look into it and apparently it was one of those games that just was difficult for it to be emulated.
It wasnt until likely 2 or 3 years ago that Conkers Live and Reloaded actually became compatible with XEMU. Problems is, I just had difficulty setting it up. I looked thru article after article trying to figure how what I did wrong and I just had difficulty. I would give up several times and just not try. Ultimately I found your video and figured I set it up wrong even though I had been following step by step by many other CZcams Tutorial videos. And finally now 8 years after my mission started, I can finally say the game works on my Computer. Truly thank you.

Thank you so much for this informative and to the point vid, I got ESPN 2K5 football working smoothly at 1440p and 4x resolution, I set the screen to stretch out some since the gameplay was a fairly small box in the middle of my monitor by default. Way better graphics and actually shows the replays during the halftime show and replay at the end of the game too. I waited SO many years for a working OG Xbox emulator and was actually speechless when I discovered it even existed, nonetheless would work good on even a Steamdeck from another vid I watched earlier. I've been getting a ton more satisfaction playing older stuff on emulator than anything that releases these days. I may just do emulator stuff exclusively now except for the odd e-sports game with friends here and there, modern gaming communities are extremely toxic and the cheating in PVP stuff is out of hand too, on top of me honestly not liking how the gaming industry itself has gone. This feels like a complete and totally different world than even 10-11 years ago. I made the mistake of joining a VERY toxic Starfield group online, and rolled my eyes at the belligerent toxic stuff going on in there on a daily basis, and spoilers hurled out very willy nilly. I guess that's my fault for expecting kindness and respect in this day and age...lol. I NEVER had Mass Effect for Dragon Age stuff spoiled years ago in groups in their heyday. Anyway, this runs pretty sweet on "just" my i5 12500 6 core/12 thread cpu, 32gb fast ddr4, emulator and game on a fast gen 4 nvme m2 ssd, 3070 gpu, and 1440p 27in 144hz monitor. Have you by chance compared regular hdd to ssd? If I could save precious ssd space that'd be awesome, but, also not the end of the world if ssd is considerably better. I know for PS2 emulator, HDD was fine to play stuff on

This is also a game along with the NHL games I want to play myself. Where did you get the files to play it? My pc doesn’t have a disk reader so I can’t use my real Xbox disks.

Awesome dude thanks a bunch. I haven’t played jade empire in almost twenty years and I’m about to get a nostalgia dump like crazy.
I was struggling to find the right controller for this thing. A Logitech gamepad was my first choice, and it did work, but it didn't feel right playing Halo CE with it. I tried one of my Xbox 360 controllers, but that didn't want to play nice with my Windows 7 PC. Next was my PS4 controller, which worked but, like the gamepad, felt wrong. Finally, I tried my FPS Target keyboard/mouse emulator for the Xbox 360, and imagine my surprise when it worked flawlessly. It's a nice workaround for xemu lacking mouse support.
By the way, I tried increasing my internal resolution to 8x, and it screwed up the rendering and tanked the framerate. 4x is fine if you don't mind a little pixelation.

I just followed your video step by step and the emulator doesn't work. I managed to grab the right files from the links you provided, but for some reason a lot of the files are in Snes format instead of bin. The only one that looks right is the hddqcow file. I can't even get the xbox animation startup to work, just says "Guest has not initialized the display".

Xbox emulation has come a long way, all I want is to be able to play the Xbox port of serious sam! It's close, but still suffers a screen flickering. Great job to the devs on this project and dope video!

*What do you do if you have all the files and a GPU with 24 GB RAM, Windows 11 and when you open the EXE nothing happens, like absolutely nothing. Windows Defender doesnt show anything is blocked either?*
*I figured it out. I just had to unblock 🔓 the app in properties*

By now, Legacy Diomtec has been shut down, so on this new site that it redirects me to, how do I get to the Complex 4627 file? It goes to way too many folders and has no search function, and I really don't want to have to go through every single individual file to hunt for it.

I keep having this Guest has not intialized the display yet and just exits, doesn't even crash after adding on the require files, the only I can open up xemu is by deleting the folder in AppData. Very annoying but cannot find a fix
Gave up on Xemu for awhile because it is the most overly complicated emulator to set it.

How do I play games that need VP6 video? Only certain parts of the games UI will pop up. Most of it is invisible like it doesn't even exist.

Came back 'cause I forgot how to load disks. But I'm struggling yet again. I ejected Halo CE, loaded Revenge of the Sith, and reset xemu, but all I'm getting is a black screen. I wish this thing had a file manager similar to the frontend for GZ Doom.
Edit: Tried again with COD 3, but got the same result. Halo 2 works, somewhat, and Half-Life 2 loads, but the screen was doing this dumb duplication trick. Halo CE seems to be the only game this thing likes.
Yeah, this emulator is in. It's early stages. There's a compatibility list on the website. Also make sure your files are XISO
@@DenverGamer They are. I always make sure to download XISOs rather than ISOs to avoid the hassle of disk image mounting where I can.
Honestly though, it'd be nice to be able to launch games in-app instead of having to dig through God only knows how many subfolders on whichever drive. Probably won't happen, but a man can dream.

@@rushgodop8224 Windows 10 sucks. installed it without a license key. Wouldn't work. License Key costs a zillion dollars. Purchased Windows 7 with License Key years ago. Will never use anything else.

i followed your steps to a T but my screen is stuck on the "configure machine settings to get started" screen, and once I close it to restart, I try to reopen it and it just closes as soon as I see a glimpse of the screen, got any idea what the issue is? I have an RTX2070 Super, a Ryzen 5 CPU and 32 gigs of Ram, not sure if it's a problem on my side...

I used to play this game called "outrun 2006 coast 2 coast" as a little kid, and now I'm hunting it and willin' to play it again. My english is bad but correct me; does the emulator have the games inside it or do I have to get the games different way?

Hello, thanks for the video. You could try shenmue II. I have audio problems in some scenes like the first port pulse scene or the hand reading. The audio is choppy and slows down. I have tried many configurations and from the Nvidia panel and there is no solution. My computer is: Ryzen 5 at 3.6Ghz, 16 GBytes DDR4 RAM, Windows 10, RTX 2060 6 GBytes.
i was playing DOA 3, and my game seems to have input lag and is moving at maybe 70% of base speed? like a little slow mo. Makes it impossible to combo which is the whole point of a fighting game. Render scale is 2x. Bummer
the only challenge for this emulator is to map bindings to keyboard
the literal binding for ABXY is ghastly
