Traxxas TRX-4 LED Light Kit Install & Test!

The official LED light kit for the Traxxas TRX-4 Defender brings this scale crawler RC car to life.
In today's video I show you how to install this lighting kit which includes 6 rock pods, both headlights, marker lights, and taillights, and to top it all off a Rigid light bar on top! It is a fairly simple process which can be sped up by using power tools, but overall I couldn't be happier with the final result and I'm looking forward to doing some night crawling!

I can see that thing with a Deep Purple paint job. Was thinking...you need a camera inside the truck facing out the windshield. That would make for some epic footage. Hey, if you're gonna play, go all the way, lol.

My question i ask all who make vids about this light kit, what is the purpose of the reciever plug. I have installed this kit and have the traxxas module for my remote and there is absolutly no control of the kit.

I’m gonna give you a big tip that I’ve carried over from my motorcycles, and gun care to rc just a light spray of WD40 on rusting screws and the like. Then dib a pre-soaked cotton bud, Q-tip into the heads of the screws to remove the rust before it gets hold. They only have like a gun bluing on them which is only slightly rust resistant and every time you get it washed repeat. Failing that get stainless replacements x
