- Jesus calls us to be merciful. How can we show mercy to others? Through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, Jesus gives us examples of merciful acts and we call these the "corporal and spiritual works of mercy". This video discusses these works of mercy and explains them. After watching the video, using these examples of works of mercy, contemplate how you can be more merciful to others in your life.

I often feel that traits like mercy, compassion, grace, forgiveness, and empathy is not as practice by christians and the world. As christians we should practice mercy towards others. Mercy towards can be by not treating people who look differently than us , different religion, different gedner, different nationalisty with the same kindness and respect that Jesus would have done. It is also by not holding peoples weaknesses,, circumstances, and flaws against them .

It's in in the second book of Maccabees.. the real question is who gave Luther the authority to remove those books in the Bible?? The second book of Maccabees has always been part of sacred scriptures and praying for the dead was practiced as part of traditions of the earliest Christians as evidenced in the writings in the catacombs.. I would rather follow them than reject this practice as proposed by a man fifteen hundred years later...
Just because something is written does not mean it's instantly true, for all we know, the whole bible could be falsehood.
