These guys are brave every day they clock in. The driver is ex special forces. People are acting as if he had any other option. You never want to stop the vehicle while theyre on top of you. He stayed active in order to stay aware. Once he knew he was free of the pursuers he got out in order to setup position if they returned. He had a flat tire and knew his best defense was a good offense. If they got on top of him again before he exited he would of been a sitting duck. He did absolutely everything right. He let his vehicle do what it was meant to do, used his experience and training, and than went on the offense when the opportunity displayed itself. Soldiers will soldier. Well done!

Hardly. They're using fully automatic weapons from a dedicated position (not driving and shooting). Firing a weapon at a target as large as this vehicle from less than 40mtrs requires minimal skill.
IF they had elevated skill levels they they would have taken weapons capable of immobilising the vehicle; which are readily available to them.
Alternatively they would have used methods of closing the vehicles in convoy down such as fully loaded rock mover trucks; which has been done before.
