Girl... Watch America's Test Kitchen before you invest in anything kitchen related. They tried those hexclad pans and they were garbage .
I've been on such an ATK kick lately. It's the best feeling when I already own something they love. But yep, their recommendations are the best best best!

@@jenn8179 The police never caught the guy. Then a couple of days after the discovery her house was robbed. The scariest part was that we think he was somehow able to access the interior of the house via the crawl space but no one could ever figure out how. Months after the fact, my brother was taking care of something for my mother and found some stuff the guy had stashed in the vents. The whole thing was wild and I now have a new biggest fear.

I’m there for the guidance on olive foundations. Is it possible to be a neutral/cool leaning olive? Every olive foundation I’ve tried so far has been way too orange on me🥺
@@Mama-de-Tia honestly I don't think you'll find your perfect match ;( it is possible because the blue/yellow color on our skins varies so there is possibility to be more warm or cool olive. I'm more warm so what I do is buy yellow foundation and just mix with blue mixer. So far it's the only thing that works for me
Watched True Detective all the way through. I thought the acting was good. I wish they did…more? with the story in terms of loopholes. As an indigenous person, I really appreciated what they were trying to do….but yeah I do wish they gave the season more episodes and maybe it would’ve developed better? That’s just me 😅
I thought it was awesome. If you did happen to watch season 1 of true detective, you definitely pick up on the paranormal/unexplained phenomenon vibe that was carried through to the fourth season. I thought it was really well done.

I loved the series, but it left me wanting more, I became attached to the characters, lol.

ALEX SAAAAME HERE ON TRUE DETECTIVE I was super excited about this season too 😫 female led cast, spooky Alaskan horror, Alaskan native culture, suspicious mine corporation... IT HIT ALL MY CHECKMARKS! Gahahh the plot and explanations just felt so forced. I just kept waiting for my mind to be blown, but it never happened for me. I loved every chance we got to see Iñupiaq life in Ennis and hear the hauntingly beautiful throat singing... TD s4 not satisfying at all. Going to check out Mare of Easttown and see if it scratches that itch

Yes! Thank you for the dark eyebrow advice. I am pale with dark hair but thin (post cancer) eyebrows. Black or brown is way too dark and gives me the red-angry-bird look.
The NYX Ash blonde you recommended is perfect, after I touch them up with a greyish pencil.
I’m glad you’re on the other side of the battle. ❤ I don’t know how long it’s been…my eyebrows grew back when the rest of my hair did, but they were definitely thinner. After a few years of waiting 😂, I tried the Neutrogena lash and brow serum, and I swear they thickened up a little bit. You might want to try it. It’s only $15, so probably won’t break the bank if it doesn’t work.

I switched over to stainless steel pans and I’ve never gone back.
There’s a learning curve, but it’s so worth it. The trick is to let the pan preheat and do the water test!
So the iunik sunscreen. I’ve used it daily for 2.5 years and I adore it. I’ve got very dry/flaky, ultra sensitive rosacea/acne prone skin and it is a godsend. It is one of the few sunscreens I’ve found that doesn’t burn my skin but also doesn’t dry it out AND doesn’t pill under makeup. It doesn’t burn my eyes either where other sunscreens do but I use lash serums without issue so I’m not super sensitive in that area. I hate that Alex didn’t like it but for my dry sensitive girlies who need something a little “greasy” for extra barrier protection it is a must try especially since it’s not super expensive ($8 or so on Amazon).
I also LOVE this one and don’t find it greasy AT ALL. On me, it’s a light moisturizer. I almost wonder if she got an Amazon counterfeit because my experience has been SO different. I have only purchased it from a licensed store in NYC. It’s a bummer either way-being stuck wearing a bad sunscreen is kind of the worst.
Me too, i really love this sunscreen cuz my skin is super sensitive but I’m totally fine with this one. It protects my skin pretty well❤
So do I, I found it hydrated and fit my skin type and makeup very well
My boyfriend and I also LOVE this sunscreen. He works outside, and he said this is the best sunscreen-no white cast, not sticky, and it doesn't hurt his eyes. And I feel the same way. Personally, it's not oily for me, and I even notice it calming the redness of my skin when I apply it.
I love it too. I layer a more drying tinted sunscreen over it, and it’s never felt greasy to me. 🤷🏼♀️

Watched final episode of True Detective 4 tonight. I've loved every series and this was no exception. Storyline was great and so was Jodie Foster. We all have different taste with tv etc, in fact wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same stuff. 💕
I totally agree with you. I loved it and watched "Nyad" to get more Jodie Foster and was not disappointed. Yes, everyone has different taste in this stuff.

You changed my life with the waterproof mascara in past videos. My stick straight lashes stay curled ALL DAY. Clutch.
Also the super thick pad on the lash curler does that. Mine I had to hold it down for longer vs pumping.
Love your look!! iunik, eye-u-neek, that's how I've heard others pronounce this brand. Their Noni Light Oil is very good if you like a face oil, that's not greasy.

About 8 years ago, I found Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Radiance. PERFECT on my body, light enough for my face, and with the mica, it gives me a sheen that shows under make-up. The best part is it is super-hydrating and my skin gets that extra protection. Amazing!
For pans, non stick - even the newer sort - don't have to disclose their chemicals! Now that everyone has PFAS, who's to say what's in the newer "non stick" products? Well, DuPont and the like, but they sure won't. Even the trendy enamel ones (granted, pretty with good design) break down in a year or two with regular use. I went the carbon steel route (no dishwasher!) & love them. Once you season them, they are more non stick than "non stick & much more responsive to heat adjustments. You can wash them with soap as long as you dry them very well & keep cooking with them. Also, I found that the Hindash palettes have wonderful options for brow colors.
Yes! Go the steel pans route. You don’t know what the technology is to make it non-stick will most likely be harmful to your health. Even tho like she said, pfas are every where. Thanks to John Oliver HBO informing me of this about 2 years ago, I’m all polluted now. lol
I’ve got black/deep brown features + fair olive skin-I totally co-sign Alex’s brow tips she gave! My sis put me on to ash brown and that’s my go to shade in NYX’s brow pen. Take your time, go light handed, and build that shade value as you need
I have to say I loved True Detective season 4. Jodie Foster was incredible (maybe that’s why I loved it). Wanted a bit more horror and the weird stuff but it was so good. I loved it.
I loved it too! Was it perfect? No way. But I don’t get how people would think it was horrendous. Oh well to each their own!

You need to try heated eyelash curlers! I have some straight lashes that just point in wonky directions and nothing worked on them until I got heated eyelash curlers! There’s many different styles (ones that look like traditional curlers too) & rechargeable options! And I can’t see worth beans without my glasses & I’ve never burned my eyelids 😊

Great tip for the brow question. I also have very thick black brow hairs (looks like spider legs) and I like to use a taupe or gray powder then the kosas nano pencil in black brown and also black. Many different colors and textures.
Yes yes yes! I bought the entire set of hex clad and EVERYTHING sticks to them! I then purchased the all clad set and love them. I recommend the all clad brand.

Lol, I have a very dry sensitive skin type and love the iunik centella sunscreen. I use it daily and to me it works very well as a base under make-up. But I'm definitely careful around the eyes because it stings for sure 😂 I use Frudia spf50 around the eyes which is totally fine and smells nice as well. Too bad it didn't work for you, but it only shows you have to find something what works for you through a lot of trial and error most times 😅

Hi Alex just like for you BoJ sunscreen was the one. For Winter I also like the Skin 1004 centella sunscreen in case you need a bit more moisture without the grease

i love my WMF pan.. love it.also, it is non-stick (but not teflon) peeerrrfect for eggs. they also have asimilar one to the hexablabla concept, but actually good.
Hi Alex I'm late but I'm here so my whole situation is crazy. I when to get the sutures out last Friday and three nurse practitioners tried and they could not get them out and I was so swollen I still had an infection so they gave me more antibiotics but I'm no closer to finding out what's happening to me but back to you and I will keep you posted like I said but I can't wait to watch this video and to my realist and rawest person on CZcams I absolutely love and adore you❤
Have you ever tried the heimish artless glow spf? Its my go to for under makeup. Its not super dewy but has that soft glowy pearl to it. It's beautiful also from YesStyle.
You crack me up endlessly lmao. I strongly recommend the rephr lash curler specifically the 18r version. We have similar eye shapes and it is SO good for our eye shapes. Ive never had a lash curler grab literally allllllll of my lashes (yes, even the ones in the inner and outer corners). Plus it feels super comfortable. Never buying another lash curler again 😌

for a lightweight Korean sunscreen that doesn't burn my eyes - and i have the exact same problem, where 99% of all sunscreens do, the beauty of joseon being one of the very few exceptions - i'd recommend trying out the waterproof sun gel from skin79. one of my long time favs, comes in a 100ml bottle as well as a smaller one, and is a really good bang for my back imho. thanks for the reviews, always a pleasure to watch your video
I would love love love to see you review some new danessa myricks face products, like the water powder serum. Also an eye look using the GROUNDWORK PALETTE which is so gorgeous 😩 Also I know you did a review of the blush a while ago but it would be cool if you could do a full look using the blush since it’s a multi-use product! I’ve been through a Korean Sunscreen adventure too. I have tried both the Beauty of Joseon and Iunik sunscreens and didn’t have a problem with either. Though I tend not to apply sunscreen within my orbital bone region. I’ve used up both and moved on to Tocobo Bio watery sunscreen. I tried it out in store against other Korean sunscreens and it maybe something you’d be interested in. The consistency is like a thick emulsion or very thin gel cream. More so than either of the previous sunscreens mentioned. It goes on super shiny but does matte down considerably after a few minutes. IT spreads very easily around the skin which makes me feel like It’s easier to get even coverage, especially trying to cover larger surfaces like my arms. It smells like sunscreen but also faintly like fresh roses. At this point I would buy this one over the beauty of Joseon sun relief. I’m 37 and have oily/normal dehydrated skin that may play a role in what sunscreens suit me and not you. But I recommend trying it out 😊
I bought the same Hexclad pan for the same reason. Eggs. Maybe it’s because I always use 2tbsp of butter first, but so far so good. No sticking. I like that it’s a heavy pan. I don’t ever put any of my pans or pots in the dishwasher also. Sorry it didn’t work for you!
Beauty of Joseon didn’t work for me lol. I have normal to dry and it dries me out. I just discovered Elta MD UV clear, got the non tinted and omg it’s amazing. I’ve been a fan of their UV Elements for many years.
dude...i highlyyyy recommend getting a lash perm/lift. and ofc you still gotta pair it with waterproof mascara but as someone with asian sticky straight lashes, it is so great not having to heat my lash curler and still not holding a curl with waterproof mascara it's been awesome.
I just recently bought a pan that size by Blue Diamond for the same reason as you, too cook scrambled eggs. I had a larger one that I have had for a few years now. I am very happy with new pan! It works great for scrambled eggs (i use a cooking spray because it recommends it). It's dishwasher safe and even metal utensil safe (though I never use metal on it). I think I paid roughly $15 for this nice little pan!
We got 2 GREAT pans from sams club they have individuals and a 3 pack. it was not expensive and conducts very well and evenlyit can also go in the ober and has a removable silicone handle
I'm glad I passed on the Hexclad pans. I was tempted for a few seconds, until I saw the price. I have good luck with T-Fal pans. I like the small ones also. We've had a non-stick Circulon pan for ages. It has ridges on the bottom and it's higher on the side opposite the handle to aid in flipping what you are cooking. Handwashing pans will lengthen their life span also, and non-scratch sponges.
lol that centella Iunik sunscreen is my absolute FAVORITE winter sunscreen, i guess i really just have suuuuuper dry skin
Restaurant supply stores! My father-in-law builds kitchens for a living and I get all of my pots, pans and kitchen tools from the kitchen supply store attached to the shop where they build stainless steel kitchens for restaurants. I can’t go without my restaurant egg pan. Good luck!

I second this. My boyfriends dad makes restaurant furniture, because of that he knew about restaurant supply stores. Amazing for basics. Not fancy, but you’ll get the best pots pans mixing bowlsEtc. etc. and super cheap!
I used to love beauty of joseon sunscreen but I've found that haruharu wonder airfit sunscreen is so much better!! It's a not as glowy, more soft velvet finish.

I've tried quite a few lash curlers in my time, all with varying degrees of effectiveness and I didn't know why. It probably as to do with the radius of the curler. You can measure it and the curve of your eye to find the best lash curler for you. There is a wonderful resource on Reddit from someone who has made a guide for this. I finally measured mine and it helped me figure out what radius is best for my eyes. Bought a new curler and it's been amazing.

Hex clad, all those alleged ceramic coated, non stick, can't stand them. All my pots and pans are stainless steel, carbon steel, or cast iron. And I have an (actually) ceramic dutch oven I also love. But yeah all those trendy pans have been disappointing to me.

Love Beauty of J sunscreen - it’s perfect!
I have ultra thick, course & straight lashes that don't hold a curl - it's a pain... The first time I tried Too Faced Better Than Sex Foreplay Mascara Primer I was thrilled, have used it for over 9 months. It holds my lashes curl and is great by itself or under mascara. Try it, you might love it!

I can’t speak for the Hexclad as I’ve never used one, but a tip I learned is to let the egg cook undisturbed can help it release better. Something to do with the protein needing to be cooked long enough otherwise it sticks to the pan. This works for stainless steel and carbon steel so might work for the Hexclad too.
And 💯 on the brow tip. I have really dark black hair and it took a long time for me to figure out a grey pencil was the way to go. My go to is ABH granite.
Yes, that’s the trick for eggs… or hamburger or steak! Do NOT TOUCH IT! lol - even when I make scrambled eggs, I don’t touch it till it’s basically cooked enough to slide - which is almost all the way cooked - then I just chop it up - but it works with everything - hamburger; omelettes; steak; crepes (only touch once to flip and the flip side is just for browning , not cooking) - I try to tell people to stop messing with it and trust the process… but it’s hard to do - the urge to mess with it is strong, lol - and it does takes practice with timing for every stove is different - but I could cook on the cheapest piece of junk pan, and it won’t stick -- I learned this technique standing in the “omelette bar” line at my work cafeteria - the omelettes were GOOD, so I spent a lot of time watching in that long long line 😊

I have the Hexclad pans. The wok is my favorite. But they work amazing for me. As soon as I got them home I did the cheese test and egg test to make sure they worked because they are 💸💸💸💸 It’s so interesting because I’ve seen a lot of videos of them not working. Also!!! True Detective…. We were loving the first few episodes so much that we stopped and it are watching all of the other season again first. But we also heard that season 1 and 4 are connected. I love this video (well… all your videos) because it just proves that no matter how much we might relate to someone, have same/similar interest…. That’s so many options out there for all of us.
You should try Rituel de Fille Levitation lash mascara, it gives volume, length & holds curl like crazy all without being waterproof. Best mascara I've tried so far! Fantastic! 😍
I am so glad to hear you say you didn’t like the Huda Wow One Coat Mascara. I ordered immediately due to such a rave from a MUA, how amazingly wonderful it was, it’s HORRIBLE. I will never purchase anything based on raves. Like you said, it’s so heavy. She raved about how it lifts her lashes etc, well, my lashes on my left which do not hold a curl, fell so far down, I had to go scrub it off. It’s horrible. Oh my, I’m just now into season 2 of True Detective. I did start watching the newness ease on with Jodie Foster, but stopped and started with season 1 which I loooooved.
Have you tried that lash curler with like 40k + reviews on Amazon? I've tried them ALL and I can see why it's so highly reviewed. Bruh...it is the truth. Curls, the curl lasts, doesn't pinch or rip out my lashes. Love it.

The Beauty of Joseon has a Matte Sun Stick SPF 50+ that is great layered over the Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics, SPF 50+ cream. Both wear well under makeup too.
The Tower 28 curler looks exactly like the Excel lash curler which I really love!
My dad recommended True Detective to me. I have yet to watch it but now I'm not so sure! LOL. Also, thank you so much for the tips on eyebrows. Mine are not sparse but could use some filling in. I always look crazy if I try to fill them in. NEVER thought to go lighter (mine are dark brown). I will do that and also experiment with eye shadows. You rock! 💜

I'm gonna be a bridesmade at a wedding during the day and didn't want to do anything too neutral but also nothing crazy (also, it's summer here in Brazil, so it has to be something light) ... I only trust you with this hahaa but seriously heeellllp
You might be interested in the ETUDE Dr Mascara Fixer primer because I have lashes that will not hold a curl unless I'm using waterproof mascara, and this primer allows me to layer other mascaras on top without losing the curl. It's been a game changer for me!

Look for Circulon stainless steel non stick pans! I’ve had mine 3 years, use them a lot and they’re doing great

Have you tried Caraway cookware? I got a pan from them for my birthday (they're so freaking expensive where I live), but I loved it so much, I bought another one. It's ceramic covered cast iron. I highly recommend 👌
