I simply stick a large wad of polyester batting or aquarium wool in the opening of the siphon, water still goes through but no fry.
maybe seed with some daphnia to let them breed and provide good food

Why don't you do a brick lining (brick wall) along the sides of the mud pond to prevent the edges from sinking in. It will look much better and will also help in cutting down repetitive cost of digging in long run. Need not cement the sides, just fix it using clay

I'm always super impressed with quality of your fish Dexter the natural sunlight really brings out their colors ,"I have to use beta carotene & UV lights." Bubble eyed goldfish and pearl scaled goldfish have always been amongst my favorites those and a few veil tails always look like flowers swimming in the aquarium to me. I really hope you do export fish I think that a lot of people in the States would really like them

Hey Dexter, love your videos, especially the goldfish orientated ones. Any chance you can show us how you separate the fry ? How you define which will be the ones you would sell a higher grade and which will be just the lower grade fish ? Would love to see that process.

because i was so shocked to receive my electric bills my friend. So decided to raise them in the mudpond as we dont use anymore submersible pump.
